DWC/Bubbleponics help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had these 2 plants since about the end of January and neither have grown much, partially cus of me. 1 is afghan kush x white widow and the other is northern lights blue. Not my first time doing this but second LOL.. 1st time went good but with sativa's. I got them as clones from a friend with experience and both had some roots going when given to me. I had some root rot about 2 or 3 weeks ago but fixed that problem. Next had either a nute lockout or defeciencies and am sure all of this played big parts with plants having to recover....

So now in grow closet I have:

Setup
125 watt fluorowing cfl
air temp at 78 degrees constant
water temp 64-68 degrees
2 air pumps with 3 air stones
humidity is 40-60% usually closer to 50-60%
water bucket is 2 gllon with 1 gallon of nutes with 3.75in net pots with rw cube surrounded by hydroton

Nutes
have mixed 1/4tsp of each to a gallon of water since trying to go back i time and start plants over again and ph is 5.8 and adjusted about 2 times a day
GH grow
GH micro
GH bloom
Pro-tekt
Gh diamond nectar
GH rapid start root enhancer

Additional Info
water line 1-2in from bottom of net pots
lights 4 to 8 inches away
maybe rw is getting too wet but not sure how to get them not as moist

Hope this is enough info and pics if not ask and I will give whatever needed, just want to get em going good again any and all help is needed and appreciated.. Are they savable????

I'd say yes, they can be saved. Will they recover fully? That's a crap shoot.

Are the roots in the water?

Good luck

What does 1/4 tsp of each of all that in one gallon of water come to in ppm (parts per million)?

I'd say there's something unfavorable about your res solution that's preventing your plants from taking up their base nutrients. I'd say lockout due to overfert.

I'd say if you have to use that many different things, you need to get a diff brand nute.. That shit's crazy..

I don't know what the ppm's are(no meter yet) figured that wasn't tons since its a chart for seedling/cuttings... the root stuff and pro-tekt arent gonna be used all the time....Any solutions on anything????

No fricking meter for PPM or EC? Jesus H Christ. Empty your res totally. Refill with tap water, pH adjusted to 5.7 or so to start. Then add 1/4 of what the mix rate says. NO MORE! Put it in your res and adjust final pH to 5.6-5.7 or if no pH meter just pray I guess.

You may have some duds there. They should put out a lot of roots in a few days. If they stayed like that for a month there must be something wrong with them. Your nute mix is light enough but you should verify the ph sometime soon. The roots aren't even hitting the nutes yet. When my roots are that young I put the water about 1/2" below the net pot. They should grow inches every day.

hotrodharley did all that yesterday. everything in theory is perfect and have pg meter think nutes just need tweaked.... Last year I grew new york city sour diesel in dwc with no meter of any sort or even check ph they went from dirt to dwc then torn out and thrown in shed with no light for 2 weeks(because of the cops) and were still alive, all I had was a nutrient recipee that i followed different from the one using now and plants loooked good.... I have used general hydroponics before in ebb and flow with good results too.... I think they either weren't that great to begin with or I messed up the nutes in the begining.P1000454_320x240.JPGP1000455_320x240.JPGP1000456_320x240.JPGP1000457_320x240.JPGP1000458_320x240.JPG

Pics are of new york city sour diesel that went with no testing of any kind to water before they went through some shit explained above last year.

Agreed, this one could be a rough ride, and will educate (perhaps harshly) at the same time the importance of a PPM/EC meter. Good luck!

any other suggestions on nutrient brands that work good and don't need tons of it.. And thanks to everyone for the help I really think I messed up the nutes when i first got them which gave me all the complications and stunted them...The afghan kush x white widow is starting to look a little better with more root growth the other not so much. I forgot that less can be more with dwc

AN sensi a&b two part works great. Havent tried the new ph perfect yet but the old stuff works like a charm.

Aside from what everybody else said...are you mixing your nutes correctly?? They need to be in order

So I just topped of with water up 1/2in away from bottom of net pot and ph'd the water to 5.7-5.8(it jumps from 5.8 to 6.6 in 24 hours).... I also took the other plant out and am gonna try to either clone it and start over or see if it might like soil(might just have to get rid of her completly)... And Yes i am mixing all nutes in correct order cheechZS... And ninjabowler i was looking at them the other day at my local store and it looks a lot less complicated than all the stuff im using..If this one is still looking good later today I'm going to make some new nute water without root stuff and pro-tekt and maybe try the lucas recipee(just don't have all the cash to completly buy all new chems if expensive). I guess we'll see how things go.P1000984.JPG

Keep a close eye on your new growth.

man growing in DWC or any hydroponic system the verry first things you buy is a PPM/temp meter and a PH meter...people claim to fame that they never use them and thats great but any hydro grower should at least have them for when shit hits the fan.

you also need PH up and down to adjust the PH and calibration solutions for both meters.

im using general hydro flora nova grow and bloom. i use 1/4 tsp of one bottle (rightnow its the grow) in around 3 gal of water. my PPM are around 170 and my plant is doing great. i check and adjust PH and PPM at least 3-4 times a week and use bottles of frozen water to keep temps down.

you really are ill prepared for this type of grow and you should have just went with a soil grow untill you could do your homework and get your meters.

oh and im not trying to be a douche just saying that there are bare essentials for these types of systems and without them your just setting yourself up for failure.

I think that now you have the water back up, you'll see a bit of a recovery.

I keep the water touching the bottom of the net pots till the roots are in the water, then I let the level drop a couple of inches.

Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect, 3 part, with "the hobbyist" suppliments, is good for noobs and is almost idiot proof....worked for me.

I ran it at apx 80% strength with tap water.

Thank you everyone for info and help... Just would like to point out that I'm not a noob to growing pot just dwc and just this run is going bad because of haven't used these nutes before.I also have everything perfect and have all equipment except for ppm meter

An update if anyone is still looking at this...

Took the northern lights blue which was the really bad one out of its home to inspect it and it had almost no roots anywhere. There were 2 -4 on the very top of the rw cube.... I removed the plant from the rw cube(very carefully) and not to my surprise the stem was totally rotted(possibly a bad clone since almost no roots at bottom and any good ones on surface IDK for sure)... Anyway I got some soil with no nutes in it and mixed it with some hydroton(only thing I have on hand and read it works fine) then I made nute water at 1/2 strength of the 1/4 strenght instructions on bottle and added a drop of superthrive and some gh rapidstart for roots, watered and checked runoff and everything is at ph of 6.5...then I added some botanicare zho to see if it will all get roots going again(fingers crossed).. It is an experiment for me and if it works i learned sme stuff if not I can get some more clones in a couple weeksP1000985.JPG

Best of luck with that one, but I wouldn't expect too much out of her at this point.
