Heres a new thread of pics as of today, about 15 days in. I think its just too hot in my closet for these guys. Temps on top of the box where the plants are is between 78-86 all the time even with a lot of ventalation. RH is about 25-35% Ive been misting them with phed water 3-5 times a day and they are on 18/6 right now. I just look at others pics even in soil at 15 days and mine look like they are lacking. Im using GH nutes and the 0-5-10 lucas formula right now. Still have a little algae in my res but not much at all. Adding peroxide often at 1-2 tbsp/ gallon. Anyhow heres the pics.

Even though my temps are so warm? Im going through peroxide like crazy and look how thin my stems are. Others stems are green and thick, mine are thin and dark colored. Scares me. Also the one in the middle, its short rider and is about 5 weeks old. Its the last of 5 femd short riders and has just started to really pic up. Yes Im a beginner and think I should have started with soil but oh well. Im running 4 23 watt daylight cfls about 2 inces over my plants right now and a 90w ufo is about 1.5 feet over them also.

Dont worry it took almost 3 weeks befor mine started to grow steady. Mine were that size two week ago and now there about 8 time bigger. The biggest thing that ive learned growing is to let them grow on there own. Best of luck and please dont give up.

Ok but what about the stems? Mine are dark colored and thin. I see other guys stems that are green and thick. Whats the deal with that?

you said thats your room temp, not your res temp. if your res is under 75 you should be able to grow just fine. no need for loads of h202. hydro perox. whats your res temp?

Well the gap was about 1/2 inch but then changed my res and went to lucas system and is now touching the net pots. The roots are down in the water on all but one. Should I lower the water down a little?

Res temps are 75-81 I add peroxide bc of the algae. I guess I have a light leak somewhere just cant figure out where. I wrapped the top of my net pots with black tape as the mesh runs all the way to the top of my net pots and also cut those blue cut out piece to fit around my plants. Still have algae.

that what i was thinking but i dont use it so i didnt say any thing but i agree on the no h2o2 and get some matalic tape at home depot and tape up that tub. light getting in the tub can hurt them growing too.

Other than what seems to be nute burn. they look fine.

What strength and type of nute being used?
GH 3 parts but using lucas formula so

0-5-10

I must have nute burned them at 1st bc ever since switching to lucas and not using the grow I have no nute burn and new leaves look great.

It can be a hassle battle temps and root rot, especially for a first time grower(it shouldnt be a hassle, should be fun and enjoyable). If you decide to get out of the DWC then i would recommend HEMPY BUCKETS. Easier transplant from hydro, grows fast like hydro(cause it is), can handle much higher temps, lots less worry for a first time grower. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.:joint:

i was talking about the peroxide and yes that tape will work. those tubs arent light proof so the algae will keep getting worse.

I would say definetly go with bubbleponics. the feeder tubes help immensely. trust me you'll see the diffrence
