with D/W/C you would not have water dripping onto the hydroton rocks

For starters, you don't need a dripper system with a Deep Water Culture.
Your rockwool is too high, you should have it below the pellets.
Make sure there are enough roots at the bottom of the rockwoll cube.
Place a couple of layers of pellets in the arse of your net pot, then put the rockwool cube on top of those layers and cover around and on top with more pellets. A layer of fungus will grow on top of your rockwool if light gets at damp rockwool.
Hand water around the rockwool (just the pellets) for a couple of days, the roots will make it to the water by itself. Keep the water level below the bottom of the net pot. The fizzing from the water will splash up to the net pot to keep the bottom layer of hydroton damp.

Remember a pump running constantly in a batch of nutes will raise its temperature

I have the same set up and no offense but my feminized akXlowryder looks like a ferrari, to use a car comparison, compared to ur 4 which id have 2 classify as a beat up fiat.... But i think a better light would do you wonders......
As to the fungus, i have my rockwool at about or a lil lower than the rim of net and i have a thin film of fungus. My question is: if i lower into/cover rockwool with hydroton could that cause fungus to spread to roots? If i leave above could fungus spread to leaves on my sexy short but extreamly bushy ak-47x lowryder??

Thanks!

Oh side thing i have wondered: do you think nuts included w/ stealthhydro.com's kit is good enough for full term growth.....?????

I have a similar setup but i made a dripper to moisten the hydroton twice a day until the roots go all the way down to touch the water.. Aslong as your hydroton is wet on the bottom your roots will go to it. If not your roots will dry out if it touches air and dry hydroton.
My rockwool was kinda big and sticking up like 1 and 1/2" but its doing great. Check out my grow journal in my sig.

Why would you buy a DWC kit ..Cost like $25 to build. Only tool i used was razor blade to cut circle.

If you are not using any organic nutrients, treat the rockwool with Hydrogen Peroxide (H202). Then leave the rockwool where it is and cover the top of the net pot with some light proof material. No light, No fungus.

make sure the rockwool is at least half an inch above the water line. cover it with paper or a paper plate with a hole cut! big enuf hole! looks droopy i noticed. you gotta keep that rockwool drier or if the roots in the water they need a bigger airstone. i could be wrong but i spent the lst 4 months tooling with dwc and i noticed to fix anything fast just retool the setup till it right like it should. dont tweak it just redo it all, new nutes new water, make sure the airtsone not clogged and the heat is ok. heat is your worst enemy. rockwool, is evil. too wet and your dead. dont soak it firs t and your dead. dont let it hit the water !!! good luck
