dwc round 2!

the first round didnt go very well since i kind of just threw everything together last minute, i have everything done correctly now (as correct as a budget dwc/cfl grow can be) i just need to know when to put my little ones in the net pots. i let them germinate and i planted them in soil after germination. i have let them grow 18/6 for a week now, they are about four inches tall now (the biggest is at about 6" and the shortest at about 3") when should i transplant them into my dwc system?

I am not sure why you put them in soil in the first place.

My 18gal. DWC 1000gpm Airpump Setup. 600w Aircool hood, Used MH Durring Veg / HPS durring Flower. Currently at 6 1/2 weeks, These Pics* are at about 5weeks. This is my 1st grow, my next should have 2x 600w but im planning on using both for single batch. I will be growing indica next tho 3 of these are Sativa with 1 Indica Dom. I love DWC, I vegged for 1mo. which I really diddnt need to but HEY it wont hurt.. . I never expected them to get so big. I must admit this grow I have gone without a PH meter Which im Jusst now starting to see the signs of the real lower fan leaves being burned (crunchy tips?) The buds are beginning to swell now..hopefully this strain doesnt take forever. I know 1 is White Russian, Forgot others. Any ideas on what I should do next Grow? I will possibly have 2x 18.gal DWC setups with 2x 600w lights. I MAY* just go 1 hydro setup with SOIL plants under the other light but still NEXT to one another (to fit a few more.) Any Strain Advice? I am willing to wait a little longer to TOP/FIM/LST whatever, I just want the HARDEST hitting INDICA growing. Ill Tude me 8x seeds. I dont have Co2 Setup, I did spray them with co2 water when younger but no more.. They have GREAT ventillation to outside so they are Indoors but have a DOOR sized breeze 2ft away from them durring the day. I need some imput on what I should do next, is it worth getting a tent and using 2 light for 2 cycles? or should I just get 8x clones and grow them in 1 phase. that'll amp up my lumens and wattage right? bigger buds? its not a RACE for me, I just want to learn and improve.

I use FoxFarm GrowBig,BigBloom/ B1 Thrive/ Sylica Boost/ Seaweed Extract/ Guano i forgot to get sweat this grow. any other nutes im missing? I always use Distilled water with a little PH down since it comes naturally 7.

not trying to be a dick, but soil will mess up ur dwc bad man, wash off the roots in warm h20 and more gently than u have ever been in ur life put em in another medium for hydroponics. i would think the more roots u have the better when u go into dwc. peace

You didnt need to put them in soil at all. Next time after you germinate just put them into a rapid rooter plug or rockwool .. You should plant your young seedlings in DWC reservoirs when you see roots. Now you are going to have to take your delicate seedlings and CAREFULLY rinse the soil off of the roots be careful your roots are pretty new and not very strong.

i wiil dip them in a cup of water gently. what is a better method? i have no way of getting those cubes to put the seedling in. can you go straight into dwc from seedlings?

Yes but its sooo hard on the plants little roots.

do u have wooden skewer sticks and hydroton..i have an idea for ur situation i came up with if i no offense fucked something up lol..umm i build all kinds of shit lol

I never tried it with out rapid rooter plugs I threw out and never used my rockwool cubes. Anyways after I germ I put the tap roots in a rapid rooter plug then into a dome for a couple weeks to get some root growth with nothing but PH water then into the net pots with only 1 inch of air gap and in 8-10 days you should have roots drinking the water. I never tried a seedling straight into hydroton.. try one plant and keep a eye on her report back here.

i do have hydroton no skewers though. the plants roots will be long. i have let them get to this stage before (the last time) and their roots were very long already, i would say anywhere from 4-6 inches with some branches too. long enough to hang out of the net pot and be able hang down into the reservoir.

id prob say ur fine then just be as careful as u can nah i take that back, be a fuckin surgeon lol and go slow peace

one hydroton ball at a time is how id go, mist ur roots if ur worried

you should be okay then just be careful when washing your roots try not to force the roots through the net pot holes the roots will naturally go searching for water ..

Repot what you have into soil and start over with rockwool/rooters in netpots.
