DWC water level

I was told to keep the water level about 1 inch from the bottom of the net pot as the bubbles would pop and mist the roots.I also have seen people saying to keep it touching the net pots so im confused now.I need someone who knows for sure which way is better because I want the best for my baby girls.I heard of even an inch high on the pots but that sounds bad to me.

I personally rock the 1" under the bottom of the net pot way, but you're right others do have their own preferred way. Either way you go tho....I would NOT advise keeping your water levels so high that your rockwool is actually submerged in the nute solution. Basically once your roots take off out of your net pots it's all auto-pilot because they're eating/drinking for themselves. Happy growing ;)

thats pretty much what i thought to.thanks for reassuring what im doing lol.i just dont see what having the net pot submerged would do for the plant...

This is what i personally do.

When I originally transplant cutting into bucket, i keep the water level high enough so the small roots on the cutting can sit in the water. After a week or two , your cutting should start to have loads of new roots pushing out dangling down .

At this point, I'll usually mix up all new feed in a bucket and water the buckets via the top as if they where soil I do this everyday. Doing this I try to keep the water levels about 1 inch above the bottom of the netpot.

By doing the top feed method , you will stop yourself growing big pencil/thumb thick root's which is not what you want.

Submerge a little of the net pots until the roots drop, then do about 1" below the net pots.

That's how I do it. Not sure if there's a better way, but this has worked for me.
