Well, its time to make that switch. The summer is going away and my first indoor and first hydro setup will be underway soon. I am on the fence though when it comes to which technique Ill be using, DWC or NFT. The plants will be started from clone off a mother kept in a seperate room and either stay under 2x 1000w or 3x 600w. It will be a perpetual grow, the plants will not be vegging at all. After they root they will be put into flowering immediately. What should I do!?

its really just personal choice but. both systems have benefits but for me if i was running a sea of green type configuration where i was flowering lots of small clones i would be looking at nft tubes or flood and drain tables.

bigger plants i would probably go dwc, hempy buckets or something along those lines

My question shouldve been a little more specific. I am curious as to which one will produce a higher yield in the same amount of time. Can you tell Im new yet? Lol. I like the simplicity of NFT vs the buckets, but have heard the buckets grow bigger plants.

nah they should be pretty well about the same. if you were growing big trees i would say dwc or something cause your going to have more room for roots in a 5 gal bucket than a tube. but going straight to flower nft would be fine

NFT seemed more difficult to me to set up, so I just went with DWC. A bucket of water with some ice bottles and air pump sounded like something I could do. Buying pvc or house gutters and pvc glue and tubing and water pump and 20 gallon res just seemed more expensive and more work to me. Plus, with a DWC I'm able to grow 3 plants in 3 gallon rubbermaid coolers inside my grow box dresser. I'm also a fan of root porn... not gonna lie.

So, for me the choice was easy. Undercurrent DWC is a nice option too if you want to get fancy.

But if you have plenty of space, want large yields running a SoG, and have money to spend.... NFT might be better for you.

... shit hempy bucket isn't a bad way to go either.
