I currently use GH notes but I have been hearing so much about dyna grow. If I switch to dyna products is it true all I need it the grow, bloom, and protekt. What is protekt, a sterilizer, cause i use pond zyme as a sterilizer in my root zone. Awesome product, paid bout 15$ and I got enough to treat 10,000 gallons. Hairy ass roots white as snow. I switched from hygrozyme. I get the same if not better results at 1/4 of the price. Can I keep using big bud powder in flower or is there no need. And can I keep using ful mag. Basically I would like to use the dyna grow, ful-mag, pondzyme, black strap molasses, super thrive, and great white beneficial for veg. For flower, dyna-bloom, big bud powder, ful-mag, pond-zyme, black strap molasses, and great white beneficials for flower. Will protekt take the place of something im currently using or do i need to add it also? How do my veg and flower schedule sound. Tweak these if needed. Just trying to figure out what I do and don't need, but I definitely need to switch to dyna products. + Rep for helpful answers.

protekt is there version of silica. I run just the grow and bloom with cal mag and i can vouch for the grow in veg but not flower seeing i use other nutes more. Its nice and concentrated so a little goes a long way. For calmag hungry girls and ro water you will need calmag or epsom salts for sure.

and pondzyme with barley is supposed to take the place of great white really. There both the same thing i believe pondzyme just being much cheaper because its not marketed to mmj growers but to home owners.

My mind just keeps going as I forget some things i wanted to point out for ya to. Dyna grow also has foilage pro as part of their line i think its supposed to be run through out veg and flower as well so that may help with the cal-mag issues as well. My local shop didn't carry the full line so I just pieced something together. I'm just using Maxigrow powder from GH and I don't use anything with it. For me the less the better. So Ill be trying out the MaxiBloom for flowering and koolbloom for a shooting or ripening powder.

Pond zyme is a enzamatic sterilizer and great white is beneficial mycos. Totally different. Pondzyme is like hygrozyme/ cannazyme

Im not sure I have not looked at either one seeing as I have no need for either. I was just saying people I notice use the pondzyme in place of great white.

You said you're in hempy buckets, all you need is grow and bloom. Protekt is their silica product, it's not needed but it's beneficial. Ditch all that other stuff you're using, it doesn't help and isn't needed.

Veg: grow and protekt.

Flower: Same as above. You can use bloom too if you want but grow already has enough P.

I use all three....The only thing i throw in is some calmag every now and then.....but yes, thats all you need. Protekt also doubles as a "PH up" It basically strengthens cell in the stems and lets your plant tolerate more heat, drought and cold abuse. In my opinion, I wont be switching to A.N. anytime soon! like I always say, food is food. its all up to you if you want to pay 100 dollars for 7% nitrogen or 20 bucks for that same nitrogen (the bottle glam and glitter doesnt justify the price swing for me). You should check out some grows on youtube with Dyna Gro Bloom and see the trichome show!!!!

Great info sounds like I'm about to save some money then. Don't really like using all those chemicals anyway. What exact milliliters/gal do you guys use for veg and flower. I will be getting protekt also if its worth it

So I don't need great white beneficials or molasses. Huh, interesting. Nothing to get those roots to blow up in veg. Jinkies???? Yes I watched scooby doo as a child. And still like cartoons especially when I'm roasted.

This is a 4 week old plant in veg moving into flower, grow and protekt only....

In regards to feedings, feed by EC and feed at the same EC that's giving you success now.

I use DG Grow, Bloom, and Pro-Tekt. Honestly, not sure if the protekt is doing anything since, I've never NOT used it for an extended period of time. It does seem to make PH maintenance easier. If you have the money, I recommend getting it.

In week 4 of flower 5g dwc buckets, I am adding 10ml protekt, 5ml grow, 10ml, bloom, 5ml Hydroplex (bloom booster). This puts me at 425ppm (excluding tap water), which is pretty close to the rate my biggest plants eat nutes. I will probably top out around 600-700ppm in full bloom with my setup. Most people seem to agree that running only DG Bloom nutes does not provide enough N, so you need to run a little Grow (or something similar) with it.

My first "real" grow was a fuckin mess and I still pulled 3oz of Sour AK with DG Bloom under 150w hps.

Question for you..... does your pond-zyme have barley? I see there is Pond-Zyme Plus, and Pond-Zyme With Barley. My local Pet-Co only carries "with barley" and I want to see if the "plus" version has barley as well, or if it's just an old style of packaging but the same contents.

I use Pro-tekt.. Only product in their lineup that I've tried besides their neem oil. I know a few people that run their entire lineup and have great results. A lot of people around here use it on outside fruits/vegetables because of the cheap price. I work at a grow store and we sell the entire line.. can't say we exactly "sell" it though.. People like fancy pictures and labels so they go after Advanced Nutrients/Gen Hydro/FF etc. Dyna-Gro is very plain.. the labels have no fancy artwork.. they don't sell you on how every product they have "increases yield by 50%".. I must say though.. I see no difference in Advanced Nutrients Rhino Skin and Dyna-Grow Pro-tekt, other than Pro-Tekt is literally 5 times cheaper. Pro-tekt is basically silicon/potassium. I personally use it as a foliar spray all through veg; I literally spray every 2 days with it and the plants LOVE it. It creates a natural silicone seal on the leaf surface that makes it next to impossible for insects and powdery mildew to thrive. It won't CURE your problem, but any problem you have will NOT progress while you are using it.. it's a win/win, since you are spraying for bugs/mold, you are also feeding the plant a nice shot of potassium and silicon. Above all, I think you would really like Dyna-Gro's products.. I've thought about switching over too.. but I would like to give Bio Bizz a try first (very cheap, all organic lineup).. Keep us updated on your decision! Keep it green
