And I used it to buy the air pump that's powering the stones in the upper reservoir! Nice upgrade from what I was previously using...it's a bubble-topia in there now!

WOW!! Lookin Great! If we end up buyin a house next year I wanna do a Big res recirculating DWC system. I always remember all the reef tank pros sayin "the bigger the tank, the more stable the water is." I just don't have the room right now to do it properly or practically, but your grow is very inspiring. You should definitely do a full DIY on your type of setup, we can see the results are super impressive!!! =)

I have a cool tube ( it's on my 400 this grow) and it looks like I need to make a trip to the big hobby shop about 5 miles away. I'll either get something like the bakearounds or just get a cool tube for the 250 as I planned anyway. You are a magician with PVC. I have so much to learn but that IS the fun part. I'll wait to see the light move and just copy you!

Yeah, I believe in bigger reservoirs/fewer water changes. Like you surmised, a holdover from the reef tank days. If I somehow make it through this grow I'll tear apart the system and do a better job of detailing how it works.
I'm starting to get paranoid - probably because I'm ripped - that I've got way too many buds in there. Every time I go in there it seems that new ones have popped out of the leaves, and they're all getting excellent light. And I already pruned dozens (maybe over a 100) of shoots from these girls during veg - this is a freaking clone factory!
If the buds grow as big as what I'm used to I may be toast...I may have created a monster!

creating a monter is bad in what way? LOL! The circular grow would have me more dizzy than I usually am! It will be real interesitng to see what kind of yield you get from this. Clone machine sounds good to me! Kinda like rescueing a damsel in distress! LOL! Next tiime maybe two plants huh! How big are the ice chest? They seem to be made of sturdy stuff!

I don't have much root porn; that picture was taken during the third week from seed and I haven't looked at roots since. I may have to try to get a picture of what they look like now, I reckon they've pretty much filled up the res.
Well, if you recall I lost one of my seedlings the first week (hence the modification to Bubbleponics), and it's replacement - only a week behind - never caught up. It's only contributing 2 of the 18 main branches in the screen. My original plan was to top each of the 3 plants for 6 main branches, but I scrapped that when it became evident that the replacement wasn't going to catch up. I went with 8 branches/2 branches/8 branches as they sit on the res instead.
The ice chests are 12 gallons each. The top one is holding 9 gallons and the bottom one 5 gallons of water. And the lid is sturdy, it easily supports the upper infrastructure and I can lift the lid if I wanted to. Hell, with another person grabbing one end of the horizontal screen frame I could lift the entire upper part - screens, light, lid, plants, roots and all - right off the upper reservoir. Heck, maybe I'll rig up some kind of pulley system to the ceiling so I can crank the sucker up, LOL!

When I decided to prune mine, (half assed btw.) I read everywhere that you can lollipop up until they show sex, second week or so of 12/12. what's ur opinion, you did a great job on yours.

Wow that sound like a good capacity for a recirculating dwc. DWC with 18 tops is gonna yield huge!

I like the bushy bushy. Could get tough to manage but definitely better than not having enough sites.

Yeah, I was still pruning two weeks into 12/12. Anything that didn't look like it was going to get adequate light went, and I also thinned out the screens a bit as well so that it wouldn't get unruly - I didn't want all the side shoots layering on top of each other! All the pruning didn't seem to slow the growth at all.
I'm heading over to check out your grow right now...
