I have 5 nodes on the smalles plants and 7 nodes on the widow they are only 7 inches high but have pleanty of roots showing from the underneath of the rockwool cubes.
Its just that I have one plant flowering now that is 5 foot tall, I waited too long to flower, I want to get it much earlier this time to keep them to about 3 foot really
I know the rule of thumb is they will double to triple, so many flower at 18inches to be safe? but you could still end up with a 5 footer i would imagine. I think mine will end up right around 3 foot

A reasonable rule of thumb is to start flowering when the plant reaches about 12 inches in height, as in flowering it will triple in height to about 3 feet, but this all depends on what strain you're growing and whether it's indica or sativa dominant. Indica dominants grow short and bushy and Sativa dominants thinner and taller.
