hi, I cant zoom in enough to see, but is it pre flowering then? looks a bit young to me, as far as repoting goes I cant see the pot size but looks ok for time being, as far as sexing goes just do a search on male pre flowers and female pre flowers youll see the difference quite obvious!!

since I am very new to growing I have no idea about growing..luckily the plant is still alive...it is maybe 3 1/2 to 4 weeks old... smells up the room nicely...just a cfl grow. these pics are best I can do with a cheap ass camera

gotta wait for preflowers, but prediction is male or at least hermie if it dont get into a larger pot with stonger light. That looks like mine at 16 days in 1.8 liters of soil in a 2 liter bottle under a T5.

could be strain my plants atm stink in veg
if clones then its very reasonable but at that size its usually a very bad sign especially if from seed.
unless hes talking a small room very faint overnight buildup of smell caused by evaporation and stomata functions.
which every new grower gets excited about lol
I expect a smell during mid to late veg always though, from (cbd?) oily leaves haha

thanks for the input Kush and weeden...if it is male or a hermie, that is ok for my 1st try at getting a plant to survive, as far as the strain is... that is a good question.. the seeds were donated to me. The individuals do not smoke any kinda rag weed or get anything that won't get them fried. the grow space was a closet...but smelled up a 12X10 bedroom and beyond...even now its new grow space has a nice odor. I'll add a couple more lights.
When should I transplant it again ? info on this is all over the map..10 inches up to 2 ft they say ???
TIA E.D.S :peace:

It really depends on a lot. What size pot is it in now, how much harvest are you aiming for, what light (spectrum, wattage, type of bulb) do you plan on flowering in, what medium are you using, are the roots properly rootbound or are they a rootball, what strain, is it auto or photosensitive?

First, Transplanting is an eh thing to be doing to the plant. Just like most plants that produce an abundance of flowers, weed hates when you start messing with her roots. Transplanting seedlings/clones regularly is not too bad a thing to do, as sizing up pots, THEORETICALLY helps increase the root system at an even rate meaning the whole pot is guaranteed rootbound in its final container. But stressing the roots can lead to hermies. Most people will tell you to start in the final pot and be patient.

The root systems tends to imitate their canopy structure and vise versa so a wider than deep pot is recommended. A 1.5 oz plant 3 ft tall at the top at harvest would likely be found in about 3-5 cubic feet of soil.

So anyways if you have the say 4 40w cfl then a good pot size would be 1.5-2.5 gallon (probably a 16" pot). If your roots have reached the bottom of your pot, and circled around a bit, its best to get into the final pot as soon as possible.
