First Grow Journal, so bear with me.

Strain: WidowCindy
Medium: Organic Soil

Overview: Growing Earl's widowcindy in Fox Farms ocean forest soil with 100% organic compost. Surviving seedlings will be vegged for a month under t5s, cloned for sex, and flowered under a 1k hps. 2.5in starting pot size, moving to 1gal bags and then 5gal buckets for flowering.

I water with dechlorinated tap water, I am aware of the strains calcium sensitivity.
These arrived one day out of the blue from nobody in particular.

Here is another Bean pic

I started with 14 seeds, decided to germ 10 and hold onto the other four in the genetics pool. 7 popped and are now keeping vegging satoris company under the blue lights.

Here they are today with a closeup.

Hope this all works out, Thanks earl!

Hey, good to see you started. Don't worry you will do great! Your setup is very similar to how I am going to do it. I just have a 600watter. It looks like your are off to a really good start! You should really get distilled water though. I know you have heard if before but if you go the to store they will have the 2.5 gallon jugs for under 2$. Those are good for about one watering maybe you can get 2 out of it. It will be worth the investment though!

Here is a day 7 update, They have their next set of leaves. Note the little bugger with a screwed up little nub. Remindes me of that crippled fish from the pixar movie.

Sorry I dont have any interesting comments... nothing comes to mind.

I dunno, From what I thought the challenge was more of a hydro thing. Plus I have about 3 strains that need to get popped so I get some variety in the flowering room.

Soil is way forgiving on mistakes and takes alot less maintenence and equipment. I want to grow hydro eventually but for now Im loving the orgo train.

A few days later they all have their 4th set of leaves forming. They are looking great. As soon as I get the satoris in the flower room these guys are going in 1gal bags and a better spot under the flouros.

So everthing is going smoothly. If anyone was wondering these were planted in FF ocean forest and are looking great.

Oh, and this came in the mail today, Earwax from Santa Monica

Very refined and whipped hash oil product. Crackles and melts when you smoke it and nearly caused my friend to steer off the road when I packed a little ball of this in his bowl.

or if you have a 5 gallon bottle, most stores (atleast around here) you can fill them up with RO water for like $1.50, not as pure as distilled but pretty close and cheaper...I test it and its like 20ppm, works fine...the guy at the hydro store I go to to reccomended that I not use DI water, Im not sure why....probably cause there is no buffer whatsoever so can make ph a little unstable, Im not sure though

do you have one that seems to have more sativa like leaves? All of yours look very uniform and healthy! No signs of sex right?

No signs of sex for a while yet...

I dont know about topping, Ill prolly clone the lower branches at about 12 inches before I flower them. Dont really want to top them so I can an idea how high they flower too without any kind of treatment.

Putting em in new bags as we speak so we can build a little root ball and then Ill figure out whether to go with 3 or 5 gal for flower.

Update tonight. Pics of the new flowering room too.
