Early maintenance......

So far I've gotten awesome advic from great people on here. I've only done 1 grow so far (holy grail) and learned alot from my mistakes. Did 6 plants that yielded a whopping 8 ozs total. Almost wasn't worth it from a financial standpoint but I'm all in because it was alot of fun. I have a buddy that yields no less than 12 ozs per plant and up to a lb on alot of them. But he's very tight lipped about his process and I can't get much info or tips out of him. I'm trying to duplicate what I do know. So far only 2 weeks in, the growth rate because of the lights and nutrient brand , has far surpassed my first grow. Should I be doing much with the plants at this point besides feeding them? The strain is Bruce Banner. I can take pics when the lights come back on for you guys to see. Thanks in advance!

He's not much of a buddy if he isn't sharing everything he knows about growing with you. I share everything I know and even give seeds and clones away for free. You need to find some new friends. :mrgreen:

Yeah why the secrets? Is he starting a business and has patented technologies that make it so he can grow 1 lb plants?

People been growing weed a long time. Not sure what he could possible think he is doing that is so special.

Out in my area, there are alot of growers and everybody seems to be very hush hush about what they're doing to have successful grows. I learn all I can from people at the grow shop and online. I think they're afraid I may get better quality than them and can't stand the thought. Who knows?

Sounds like he's either selling his product and views your grow as competition, or he's a liar.

Either way that's someone I wouldn't consider a buddy or even associate with.

For a first grow, any yield is better than no yield. There are many out there that can't even make it to harvest their first grow. You don't need him to learn how to grow great plants, these forums have a wealth of knowledge. What you get out of them and your plants always reflects on the effort you put in. Good luck.
