early stages of growth: when should we start checking sex?

I have had an indoor plant for about a month, they are still kinda small-ish and scrawny since they are indoor and all, but i was wondering if the tiny sex sprouts should be popping up yet? I'm seeing some small sprouts so far but cant tell if they are male or female. :wall: is that normal? should i be worried yet? the sprouts don't have balls on the end, but they dont have noticable hairs either. please send me advice as best u can. thanks! bongsmilie

what light cycle are you on?

read the faq's, or if you dont want to do that, just read other threads in the grow journal section perhaps?

im kinda just winging it? I'm pretty close to the 12 12 cycle though. should i just bask them in the dark for a while and force the sex out of them? is there such thing as a neutral plant that has yet to choose a sex? Ive been reading everywhere but i cant get the detailed answers i need.

put it in 12/12 and it will show sex with 4-5 days.

balls(pollen sacks) = male.

white/clear pistols = female.

It took 2 solid weeks into 12/12 before I could even remotely determine sex. I'm sure it's strain dependent. Get yer self a good jewelers loupe, the stronger the better. The first signs of sex are TINY as hell.
