Early vs. Late Harvest?

Hey, I started out with a few plants now i am done to one, maybe 2(spider mites). And on this one plant i would like to harvest it early for a "clear, up-beat, cerebral high". However, i would also like a nice body "stone". So i was wondering, could i cut serveral branches off now from the plant and dry those while the rest of the plant ripens??? I would like to cut some branches off as soon as possible.

I will post pics of how the plant's doing as well later. Thanks!

just pick the buds off, prob less shock to plant.

you never wanna cut off too too much because you dont know the damage that it could
cause to the plant.. pick buds...

Some folks always harvest buds individually as they ripen. Just cut from the tops, not the entire branch, IF younger, immature buds remain on the branch below the target bud(s).
Be careful you don't get so zoned on your samples that you let the remainder over-ripen and couch-lock ya!

You know you're seeking all cloudy w/few amber trichs, right?

This is what it looks like now. The last pic is of the plant with a spider mite problem. All the hairs are red and the bud is tiny. I don't know if its ready for harvest or not.

Since iam looking for a cerebral high, could i picked some buds off tomorow night? Thanks for the replies

just wait till it's 50/50 with cloudy and amber trichs u will not be dissapointed

I think i will pick some off early, maybe this weekend. And how much longer till shes ready? I have a frost coming soon Thanks!

wow good point about the frost find out the exact dat and garvest like a week maybe 3 days b4 that but since u like satvia highs alot i guess milky will be great

50/50 can be much too strong in some strains (indica's?) if you wanna get high and not get your ass kicked (couched) IMO.
I grabbed some of mine early and man, am I ever glad I did! The "mature" buds are just no fun . . . very strong and tasty, but make me lethargic, which I can't enjoy 'cuz I'm already pretty useless. Good for later in the day, though.
Now, IF I can just figure out which batch of my last harvest the "perfect" was from and duplicate that cure, then I'll really have something special.

lol well i kinda like havin my ass kicked by my high but i like being clear headed and thinking alot that's why i harvest at 50/50

Just harvested mental floss and g13 , and i am so glad i harvested a bit earlier, dont like that amber feeling, besides the half milky half clear is the best the nugz ast so tasty at this stage.

Like I said, or meant to, it'd always be strain dependent. I'm sure there are plenty where 50% amber could be fun. Just not my strain.

there are weeks left untill that plant is ready no a couple days.

Thanks for the advice! I took some premature buds off and I think im gonna post some pics beofore i harvest the whole plant just to make sure, probably in the next few days.

I am also having trouble with brown fuzzy mold. When i cut it out of the buds a cloud of mold spores goes into the air and onto the rest of the bud. Even though there is no mold growing on the drying buds, mold spores still landed on the bud. Is it okay to smoke??

uhhh does it sound ok to smoke? noway ...any kind of fungus/mold is very harmful to your lungs..even burning it doesn't get rid of it, it just turns it into poison for your body. do some research

Ya but there is no new mold growing. The bud looks fine, is it still garbage just because a bunch of microscopic mold spores landed on it? The spores prolly died
