Anyone tried this strain? Need a fast finishing strain that can handle cold, as we get frost mid september. Found this strain, and its suppose to be autoflowering, and finish late aug. Sounds good too me.

If I were trying to grow outside here in Canada that would be my first choice. It's been a best seller for years at the Vancouver Seed Bank.
There was a dude on the Cannabis Culture forums named Island Madness (he lives on an island off of Maine) he's been cross breeding EWS with a lot off stuff. You'll probably find more actual growers there than you will here.
Another good one if you like a stoney indica is SS Early Bud from Wild Rose Seeds.
A cross of these two would be great if you know how to make seeds.

I think ill try it, ss early bud sounds good too. And I will be crossing strains next year too, making my own personal seed collection. I have a couple strains so far. I have white rhino, think she will be able to finish in Canada? I really hope so, says finishes early october, which might be a bit late..

Thinking about purple pineberry too, sounds pretty interesting.

unless you live in Southern Ontario I doubt it, even if the frost and mold don't get it the sun is too low in the horizon to have any effect after early September.
The Pineberry looks good to me too.
I haven't followed the breeding techniques for auto flowering starins but I believe the autoflowering trait is only passed on to crosses if it's the mother plant (or is it the reverse LOL ?)

Damnit, crappy bout the rhino. Ive been reading more about the ss early bud, and think im going to go with her.

Maybe if I can keep the rhino flowering long enough, I could pollinate her with some ss early bud, creating a faster flowering rhino?

you've got a chance as it only takes 4 weeeks for seeds to develop collecting pollen outdoors without ruining your crop is a BIG challenge. Please read up on breeding autoflowers to see if that's the right combination to pass on the autoflowering trait.
I know a guy who grew the SS EB around the Saskatoon area (52 degrees North Latitude) he had colas the size of baseball bats finish before September.

still thinking bout getting the early wonder skunk.
that shit always sells out in the spring so if you want to get it order before the end of March.
I was just snopping around the Vancouver SB site and saw Reeferman has a new strain out so I checked that out then saw this one. It's Durban Poison X Pineberry. Not an autoflowering but it finishes in early September and it's Sativa dominant. I'm a big fan of Reeferman (Canadian BTW) and have bought several of his strains, some of them I've yet to grow out. Durban Poison is one many peoples favorite list for taste (like black licorice) & high.

That durban pineberry sounds good, ive never had a good sativa before. Only good smoke that comes through town is usually hard hitting indicas, never a good sativa.

How are sativas with the cold though? I heard indica do better.

Im for sure going with the ss early bud, thanks alot for showing me that one.

you heard right, Durban Poison is an exception it's one of the few Sativas that will grow this far North AND finish.
I prefer Sativas 10 - 1 myself, that's why I got into growing indoors. Nobody will grow them comercially.

Ahh growing indoors, that will be left untill I have my own house and property, untill then outdoor guerilla growing it is.

Im thinking about the durban pineberry now, id like to grow a sativa outdoors, just dont know how she will handle the frost, cause she might have too.

Im thinking the ss early bud will be a good one, along with early wonder skunk. Will def be pollinating my feminized white rhino too, in hopes of creating a fast flowering rhino.

Environment Canada has the AVERAGE date for the first fall frost for your area if you look it up.
Dr Greenthumb has ratings for all his strains for both spring and fall frost tolerance but he's bloody expensive.

Ive checked on that website before, first frost is first couple of weeks in september. Frost hits pretty dang early here, along with snow right after. I need girls that finish early. Im getting ss early bud and early wonder, hopefully they mature on time, it sucks getting premature bud all the time with bagseed.
