This is a newbie grow, I was trying to piece everything together as I was going. RollItUp was essential in the whole process and thank you all for the free knowledge I gained from barrusing this site (ALOT).kiss-ass
The Grow Room
veg- closet with window fan and 150wHPS for 2month in 1gal smart pots
Flower- 9wx9wx7h room with 1000whps aircooled hood, 6" inline fan, filter, window fan, dehumidifier, and reflective wall lining in 6 gal squar pots
medium- promix with a couple sprinkles of biotone
nutes- Earth Juice grow, bloom, micro
environment- temps maintained 70-80F and humidity 50-60% (60% if I forget to empty the resevoir)
0.5gal RO water every 2-3 days and flushed with 10gal water per plant every week or two
My two cents. I am gonna be pleased with the EJ nutes after its all said and done, but the product it very undesireable, the entire line made my RO water pH in the 3-4 range (I followed the instructions on the jug, I don't have a ppm or ec tester) so the stuff hurt the plants badly for a while untill I got a pH tester (after about 2 weeks). but then I was able to adjust closer to the 5.5-6.2pH I worked with. I didn't buy any pH UP - I just used household bakingsoda (NaHCO3) and it seemed to work out ok, even though I know this raised the ec considerably. breakdown-the micro nutes only burned my plants each time I used it, the grow nutes were messy and had the consistency of diarrhea and looked like poop + some dirt in a jug, the bloom nute was ok, but after I used it up I found that most of the solutes had accumulated into a thick 0.5" paste cake in the bottom of the jug (I did shake VIGOROUSLY each use) so the label was inacurate in its solute content %s.
bottom line - I'm buying a different product next time and not buying this one again ever.
light sched- 18-6 for vegging and 12-12 for bloom with inline fan only running while light is going
enough of that stuff, my first round included 2 Northern Lights from Royal Queen Seeds and 2 freebies from DNA genetics a Lemon Skunk and a RockLock
the NL had 2 different phenos, one is a beast and the other is more short/bushy. The LS got topped about the 6th node and is a beast also! the RockLock looks short/bushy and the buds are very airy, I don't expect much from it - more advanced in its requirements than I was able to provide.
