More than 1,100 marijuana plants were seized from a house in Eastvale that had been converted into a growing operation, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies on Tuesday, April 16, served a search warrant in the 6900 block of Rapids Drive.

They found one pound of processed marijuana, digital scales and packaging material, a news release said.

The growers rerouted the electricity around the meter, stealing $4,500 a month in power
, the release said.

The house was unoccupied, and no one was arrested.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Deputy Javier Morando at the Jurupa Valley station at 951-955-2600.

A) I bet stealing the electric is what busted'em out
B) What kind of dumbass cops don't stake the grow op out until the growers return. No one's gonna abandon that shit unless they blew their cover. Dumbass pigs!

I doubt the grow was even their biggest concern...but 90% of the time stealing electricity will get you caught 100% of the time.

Yeah, if it was in an abandoned/empty house the big issue was probably the power theft. There are a ton of empty houses in Eastvale. And, yeah... Edison knows where every freaking electron goes. As soon as power is leaking they know about it.
