Easy Roll Light Hangers

Has anyone else bought these?

If you have, could you please explain to me how they actually work before i burst a blood vessel?!?

Obviously I have hung them up, then there is just a bit of string that hangs down? Am I expected to tie them to my lights???

Then how do I set the height of where I want it??? I assumed to tighten the little bolt and the string would stay but its not the case.

Thanks!

yes then set the clutch (butterfly screw ) so that you can move your lights up and they wont fall back down , its hard to explain but keep messing with them and youll figure it out , it had me baffled for a bit when i first opend them lol

Yep, just tie them on to the light fixture!

Easyrolls work like a self-retracting window shade. Pull down to the desired height, it stays. Pull down again, it will retract.

Easyrolls are brilliant. Makes setting lamp height as easy as pulling down a windowshade.

As was said previously, the wingnut adjusts the amount of resistance when paying out the line. You simply adjust it to the minimum amount of resistance needed to support the weight of your light.

I have complete faith that you will work them out and once you do, you'll wonder how you got by without them. :)

I stand corrected, these are awesome!
Ain't they just. :)

I used to hang my lights with open link chain. Lift light with one hand, change link position with the other. Bothersome. With Easyrolls, pull to desired height and leave it. Done.

Yea easy rollers are great, one of the best small and cheap growroom gadgets around imo.

I use mine upside down now, i tie the cord to the support bar at the top of my tent(you can tie it to an eye hook screwed into your ceiling too), then hook the easy roller itself to my cooltube using two slightly opened out jack chain links, saves me reaching right up to adjust the wingnuts, much easier.

Il post a pic tomorrow when lights are back on.

You can tie the strings to a couple of chain links opened out at one end or "S" hooks, then just hook the strings onto your reflector, much easier than untying knots should you ever want to change or remove your reflector ;-)

I don't use a cool tube and my fixture is heavier on one side... The side where the light is hanging is staying there no prob but the other side is as light as a feather so it just rolls back up when I tighten the butterfly nut. Someone have a suggestion maybe?? Just got them today and its driving me crazy :wall:
