Eating Straight Bud

I have been told by some people that they had to eat their stuff but got caught anyways. They say that they went to jail and were high for a really long time just from eating it. I have eaten it before and I didn't feel anything... why is that?

simple.
they lied or were mistaken and the last bowl they smoked did double duty while they worried about being someone's bitch for the next decade or two.
