Ebb and Flow Mediums

Hey I'm planning an ebb and flow grow soon. I'd like to know of any mediums I could use other than hydroton or coco. What could I buy from the local wal-mart or lowes? Most perlite now has mirical grow in it is that ok and would vermiculite be a good choice? thanks.

I use Grodan rockwool, works great for me.

For a flood and drain system i would go with one of those you specified, hydroton, coco or rockwool, but none of them is available at walmart.

Ya you would have to visit a grow shop or online.

I have a 2x4 flood table for my Ebb and Flow set up and I am only using 6x6 Rockwool blocks with nothing else underneath. Got 6 plants in there. The blocks are under $3 each at a hydro store.

On my side i use 80 4"x4" block on a 4'x4' table, flood once a day.
