Ebb and Flow System

I don't have experience with neither. My last grow I went aero and built my system based off of stinkbuds plans. I never made it to flowering due to poor planning and execution. However I will say, I was vegging 30 plants in my aero unit and they seemed to grow great, just like you mentioned about 1" a day.

Looks like the Under Current system is the hot system over at THC Farm, seems like all the guys over there are using this system. These things are freaking expensive, I might go with the ebb system I originally posted about, and upgrade to the UC system after my 2nd harvest probably.

How do like like the ebb system maintenance? Difficult? Thats one thing that I am worried about, maintenance on my aero systems were in a pain in the ass. Water changes were ridiculous and time consuming.
I have two flower rooms with Ebb & Grow buckets, and a third flower room that I want to put in two UC16XL systems in> They are expensive, plus the water chiller costs, and if that pump dies your FUCKKKKEEEED! but it does grow the best herb possible and gigantic trees.

Ebb maintenance is extremely simple. Clean your pump and reservoir once every few weeks. Rinse Hydroton between harvests. Wipe down buckets after harvest. That is ALL! Failures are few and far because its mostly just gravity that the system uses.

Your idea of going E&G and then UC later is an excellent idea. Get the room dialed in and ready to rock, and dont forge tthat 200 gallon reservoir you'll need plus a water chiller ;)

Just go to my grow journal in my sig. Its working towards 24,000 watts of lights using Ebb & Grow Buckets just like your looking for. Also, check ((( https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/269859-all-cap-ebb-grow-users.html ))) that thread too, its the best resource on Rollitup.org for bucket based systems whether c.a.p. branded or do it yourself. All is discussed.

Good luck!!

Whoa! Thanks for the good information and link to a great thread. Much appreciated. I'll probably be spending the next few days going through that entire thread.

The C.A.P system found here http://www.horticulturesource.com/c-a-p-custom-automated-products-ebb-gro-12-grow-site-system-complete-w-55-gallon-reservoir-new-version-p4490/

Is this system different from the one I posted originally? This one is significantly cheaper than the one I originally posted about by about $200...

On a side note I did find a used UC 16 XXL (4 site) system for sale with chiller for $750....that is soo cheap....I am debating big time now. You can yield almost 1lb a plant given you grow the right strain and proper technique.

I'll be looking over your grow journal, you got some crazy shit going on there brother. Keep up the good work.

The system @ Horticulturesource.com is still an Ebb & Grow system, its the normal sized one with either 2 or 2.5 gallon buckets I cant remember which. The picture one you posted is the Ebb "Monster" which basically is 5 gallon buckets nothing more. As if the roots even need that much room, waste of money.

I'd hop on that UC16XXL, but the XXL means really big plants and very few of em, so might need a longer veg time is all.

I probably will hop on the UC16XXL system, hopefully it is still around this weekend. I emailed the guy today and he still has it.
