Ebb & Flow Res Question

I posted this in the 250 HPS thread and there seems to be mostly soil growers there so..

What the heck is it?

Last week I found a little bit of this stuff in my res, I think it is some kind of white algae (I searched here for white gooey slimy etc..). The posts that I found said that Hygrozyme would take care of it and H2O2 can be used with it. So I did a res scrub (diluted bleach water) and soaked the pumps in H2O2, replaced the tubing etc.. I bought some Hygrozyme ($30+) and added it to my res with fresh nutes, well I thought "everythings good now", but when I checked today and noticed that the water wasn't moving much I found that glob on the circulating pump. Anyone else run into this stuff?
BTW: I am running 2 flowering areas with res tanks that are (should be) nearly identical but the other tank doesn't have this white gunk in it.

My Res: 20 gal
Lucas Formula GH Micro/Bloom @ full strength
pH fairly stable @ 5.8ish
Liquid Kool Bloom
Humbolt Honey
Hygrozyme
H2O2
Temp: 62*F

No airstone.. I use a powerhead from my old tropical fish days to keep the water moving in the res. I can put a piece of air tube into it to aerate the water some. Do you think an airstone would help?

if it is the white algae maybe just add a small dosage of h2o2 in your res. 3 ml of 29% per gal is what im seeing the most of. people said they had noticed root improvement within the first day. Does this stuff clog your pumps and stuff and thats it? any effect to the rootzones?

Yeah, mostly it clogs the circulating pump (powerhead) I have been adding 29% H2O2 at 2ml per gal, I can up that to 3ml. The plants are very healthy. The only thing I am doing different this grow is that I am using smartpots in the tray instead of filling the tray with hydroton.

The humbolt Honey is the problem. Clean the reservoir and start fresh nutes and leave the honey out. I had the same problem wo years ago.

for some reason , that stuff is just too thick and causes more problems than it helps. If you really feel the need to add a sweetner , try adding Botanicare Sweet. Less money and doesn't clog things up. When using additives in Ebb and Flow , go easy at first so you don't burn up all the ladies by mistake. Less is better anyway.

Grazzmon, just some advice on the hygrozyme, if you're not using beneficials, it really doesn't help, just makes a bunch of slime. I use Floralicious plus and no more slime! it also adds flavor and aroma imo

Noticing some white slime also ... trying to keep the reservoir as dark as possible no additives just nutes. PH & a little 3% H202. System is Ebb & flow 10 g. res. ( changed & flushed 3 days ago) air stones, water temp at 70 ( I notice this in any type of water: RO, tap, rain) room temp 68-78 hum. 50%. It's not effecting the pump or the plants at this point. Would Floralicious plus work in this situation ...... any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
