As the title says I am in day 33. I have 4 white widows and 4 purple kush's, all of them are from seed. I am using smart pots #3's, hydroton and ebb and flow. I keep the PH at 5.8 PPm for the widows at 1050 (they like it a little lighter) and about 1350 for the Purple kush's. I vegged under 600 watt MH for about a month after seedlings had established, then I switched over to HPS's (i have digital ballast so I can just change bulbs). I keep the screen about 12 inches above the medium. Its almost too high but I need roo to be able to get under there and clean up the undersides of the plants. I also flush with water that has been through a tall boy filter with a PH of 5.7 once a week. Day temps are about 76-78 and night 70-72. the humidity stays around 60%. I am using Cutting Edge System nutes and............I can't think of anything else.

The buds are huge and just over half way. I am hoping to get a heavy harvest. Let me know what you think.

as you can see the canopy got a little out of control and isn't as even as I would have like it to be. because of that I have had to raise the light up a little higher than I would like. I try to keep the light about 18-24 inches away from the tops of the flowers. sometimes with these hoods it seems like 18 inches is a little to close, a couple of the flowers have had poorer calyx development because of it.

Well everything is going great. These pics here are from the last few days. Right now I am in day 46 or so. I will probably let 'em go bit longer. Probably start flushing the kush in a week and the widow in two weeks probably. let me know what you think and enjoy!DSCN0211 - Copy.jpgDSCN0195.jpgDSCN0216 - Copy.jpgDSCN0221 - Copy.jpgDSCN0203.jpgDSCN0208 - Copy.jpgDSCN0205.jpgDSCN0210.jpgDSCN0207.jpgDSCN0206 - Copy.jpgDSCN0220.jpgDSCN0219.jpgDSCN0154.jpgDSCN0153.jpgDSCN0152.jpgDSCN0158.jpgDSCN0139.jpgDSCN0138.jpgJun 26 4.jpg

Well its day 50 or so and I took some pics earlier while the little mammas were sleeping. So far everything is going great. The weather outside is getting nicer so the dehumidifier is having an easier time. The humidity is down to 53% or so, the lowest so far. I would like to get it lower but i guess more rain is coming, guess I just need dual dehumidifiers.

In this group of pics there is also some super silver haze and u-dubb. both are in 3 gal dirt pots. nothing special but they look great.

I am hoping to harvest the ww around day 70 and the pk at about day 60. i would like tyo harvest before they turn amber but I would also like the ww to turn white, so we will see what the crystal production looks like when the glands sstart getting cloudy then I will decide when to pull it.

Feel free to leave comments or suggestions. any buddy have any tips about these strains?

are u scoping the trichs?

that bud in the second pic looks done.

a quick google search would tell us, but i thought white widow finished faster than 70 days.

been scoping it for a week now. there isn't a single cloudy trich on any of the nugs yet. i'm thinking if they are indeed purp kush they should be turning a bit purple.

Here's some pics for ya'll. I started flushing a couple days ago and they are already showing signs of being deficient. Think i will give 'em until weds and they are coming down. The trichs don't have any amber yet but the purp kush is getting pretty cloudy and the ww is just starting to turn, so i think the timing should work out well. i was thinknig of cutting the lights 48 hours before harvest but i have some other plants flowering and i do not want to have to move 'em around.

So I wanted to harvest when mostly clear and it looks like it worked out well. On the PK I didn't see any trichs that had turned amber and they are about 50/50 clear/cloudy. The widow is both clear and cloudy as well but I have noticed a small handful of amber trichs on some of the flowers. all in all it worked out well. I flushed for 6 days with 0 nutes and 5.5 ph water. the plants really sucked all of the nutes out of the fan leaves, so i think next time around it won't be necessary to flush as long.

i went to sears and got the box you will see. i installed an exhaust fan on it for air flow and have a dehumidifier next to it. it s about perfect in the box 60% humidity with about 72 degree temps.

Enjoy

Sorry for the delay on the reply.

Everything has been cured and jarred. And I have the final weights.

Off of four two foot white widows, all from seed (one plant had nugs twice as big as the others), I got just under 15 ounces.

Off of two Purple Kush plants, both from seed, and under a 3 foot diameter I also got just under 15 ounces.

My next grow I hope to get at least one pound per table (four plants). I will be growing super silver haze and U-Dubb, the University of Washington strain, in the hydro tables.

I also have some shiska berry going right now, which I must say is excellent smoke. Smoking the PurpKush is also very nice. It has an excellent flavor and is excellent for medicinal use, the body high is incredible. One joint of this stuff and I don't notice my arthritis for at least a couple hours.

The white widow is white widow, not a real heavy stone or body high but just a solid, all-around good smoke. Compared to the PK, WW is very mellow- a good midafternoon, lunch break type of smoke. You can also wake and bake with it and not feel croggy by lunch time.

Thanks for checking out the grow. :eyesmoke:

Looks great man! how long did it take from seed to 12/12 start time....... or how long did you veg for
My total veg time was six weeks or so, but i was controlling that with the amount of light I was giving them. At the time I was remodeling the grow room so when I first popped 'em I left them under a single t5 for a few weeks so they wouldn't grow too much. when i ended up putting them under the 600 watt MH on the flood table, they instantly sprouted huge sets of fan leaves. The WW stayed up but the leaves ere too heavy for the PK stalks and they fell over. They quickly recovered though and in the end it had no affect.
