Ebb & Flow Super Silver Haze and U-Dubb

So I am back at it again here. Since my last grow I made a few more improvements on the room. I redesigned my table and screen so that both flood trays are built into the same table and so that the screens are connected. However I still built it to where either side can be harvested and switched out without effecting the other side. I keep refining my technique and hope to hit my 1 pound per table mark this time. My last grow was purp kush and white widow, six plants in all, and i got just under my one pound goal but still did over 1 gram per watt. This time if I reach my goal I will be gettting about 1.4 grams per watt. I am growing from clone this time, so i think i will reach my goal. so here is the set-up.

2 600watt lights w/ electronic ballasts and GE extra par bulbs (soon i will have 2 more lights and ushio bulbs)

2 3'x3'x4" flood tables

ScrOG 12 inches above medium

Using hydroton with smart pots #3's

Cutting edge solutions nutrient line-up (including micro-nutes)

4 super silver haze plants, 2nd gen, from clone

4 U-Dubb (university of washington) from clone, generation unknown

Room also has a/c dehumidifier and all sorts of other shit

temps 76 day 71 night, humidity 50-60%

I feend one hour after lights on, and one hour before lights off with two feedings in between.

I have separate reservoirs so that i can keep the nutes tuned to each strain.

How about some pics? Let me know what you think or if you have any questions/comments/suggestions. :peace:DSCN0592.jpgDSCN0598.jpgDSCN0605.jpgDSCN0604.jpgDSCN0599.jpgDSCN0593.jpgDSCN0594.jpgDSCN0597.jpgDSCN0600.jpg

SSh is at about 3.5 weeks now and the udubb is at about 2 weeks i think. i always forget, i end up having to look at the dates on the photos to remind myself. anyway everything is going good. both strains were showing a little mag burn so i cut that back a little. the udubb canopy is nice and super even. the ssh canopy got a little out of control, but it looks like it will work out just fine. I'm shooting for a QP per plant, i think i will get very close, if not better.DSCN0614.jpgDSCN0612.jpgDSCN0611.jpgDSCN0608.jpgDSCN0610.jpgDSCN0613.jpgDSCN0615.jpg

the 4th pic is a shiskaberry girl that's about 2 weeks away from harvest.

wow fantastic. im doing a scrog with 1 blackberry and 3 strawberry diesel in scrog under 1 600w in a 2x5x6 tent. running general organic nutrients. this looks amazing. i want to do hydro next but i need a bigger room and tent.

ill be following this to see your harvest.

Last grow on the almost same set-up i got just under 2lbs from 4 white widows on one side and 2 purple kushs on the other, almost a QP per plant. i may just hit my goal of a qp per plant this time, if not it won't I will nest time once i have at least one more 600watter going.

Nice. Do you get algae in those black trays if you don't cover them?
No. I cover them to prevent evaporation which leaves heavy salt deposits. Once they build up they are a real pain in the ass to clean off. Vinegar water works good, but you can't do that in the middle of a grow. I'm planning on building a light proof cover, but I haven't quite decided how I am going to do it yet though. It'll be a little tricky because it needs to be as close to light prove as possible, while still allowing me a way to flush/leach the plants.

how long do you veg. before flipping to 12/12? love your set up nice work.
It just depends. I aim for about 3 weeks plus another week to get 'em cloned, but sometimes it just kind of depends on when I get around to it; so sometimes longer. This is the veg side. I try to keep something in the flower room all the time filling up the screen.

In these pics we have the mamas on the sides of the table and eight shiskaberrys that just got transplanted from the clone. I am doing four in hydroton and four in the botanicare ready grow aeration mix. There is a couple purple kush's in the little red keg cups too. I'm just trying to keep that strain around for later.

RP your setup is very inspiring. I also grow in hydroton but have never trained my girls under a screen but will be doing it this grow. My question is it necessary to trim away some of the fan leaves after the canopy fills in? Also you mentioned that you feed them 4 times in the 12hr lighting period did I get that right? One more thing what is the manufacturer of the constant monitoring device on your bench it looks like it does Ph, PPM, and Temp.
Love the setup and the results

I'm trying to get away from hydroton and more into coco blends. I want the benefit of the microbial life and would also like to switch over to some organic nutes (the nutes I want to use are not recommended for hydroton). Yes, I feed four times a day on the flower tables. the veg side i just got going again and the lights are 24/0 (thinking about switching to 18/6 just to save some energy cost) and they are feeding every eight hours. Its my first time with the ready grow shit and the veg girls are sharing a table so i need to find a feed schedule that with suit the coco and the hydroton......... As for trimming out the fan leaves check out this link....

I trim out all of the baby buds and most of the foliage beneath the screen to promote air flow. Everything you need to know is in this thread.

As for the meter here's a pic of mine. Its a nutra-dip tri meter. I've had two of them for about a year now and they work great. I paid $185 each at the local hydro store. I calibrate them once a month and they are never really off. Bumping them around is what knocks the calibration off.

RP thanks for the pic and the link. I just germinated some Master Kush and bubbleious that I will tryout your setup on my last grow was very disappointing the buds never got tight and frosty. I think that I had to many plants for the lights I had. I tried light movers but without success. I have never posted a grow thought I might give it a try.
thanks

Okay so the SSh is in week 8 now and the Udubb is in week 6. so far so good. the ssh is a little sensitive to nutes later in flower and a little nute burn began. I dropped the ppm down just below 1000 (it was at about 1200) and the burning ceased. the udubb rez is at about 1200 and i don't think they could be any healthier, they are absolutely beautiful. Look for yourself.......Enjoy:peace:

RP very impressive. I purchased one of the meters that you use. I can't wait to get it running. Do you use any CO2 in your system?

Thanks Kevo and I think you'll like the meter. I'm getting ready to get myself a third one here for my veg table. I don't use CO2. Its not necessary, my a/c has an air exchanger so i get plenty of fresh air. when i add more lights i may consider using it, especially if i experience any heat issues.
