Not sure if my pen is bad.? I have a blue lab pen that is several yrs old , like 4 or 5, but is virtually new. I bought it new and shortly after switched to organic soil and honestly don’t use any pen much. I’m considering giving coco another go indoors as I have some experience now. I took it out , gave it a quick clean and fresh battery and calibrated it in the 2.77 fluid as normal. All seams good except when I check it in 500scale ppm it only reads 1380 against the 1385. Also it reads my tap water at 0.1 and 0ppm? This can’t be possible IMO. Town water no house filtration. 71* If I add a couple pinches of salt, this should raise both numbers, correct?

That difference is so minute it makes no difference. You're not mixing rocket fuel.

I’m assuming you mean the 5 ppm? If so yes I’m not concerned by that but by the tap water reading. Can’t be 0 ppm I don’t think

I'd expect a larger degree of accuracy from Blue Lab equipment. My tap water is 35ppm out of the tap. I'm also very close to the city distribution point so I'm think our run must have very low levels of additives due to being so close.
