I feel you, I also like what works.It's a greenhouse cave. Aphids are a problem. Bugs travel through the chain-link surround at will. Hand-spraying under leaves is close-in work. Chemical protective suits are hot. I like translaminar sprays that do both leaf sides. I like systemics. I do not like extra leaves, hence I manifold and don't like the fact that spinosad is ineffective when dried on the leaves. I want some residual oil/insecticide during veg. I want non-stop death to insects 24/7. Is this a bad thing? No! Is it a lazy way to farm. Sounds like it.
There's economies of scale in play outdoors that can really up the difficulty of battling bugs.
I've used tetrasan myself.
