Here's some pictures of my drain holes, its the little yellow things, there's hundreds. It looks like eggs. Anyone confirm this? Since its in my drain holes can I flood em out? Also appears they're webbing around the eggs..? Suggestions appreciated. I killed a few black widows yesterday, and I saw a centipede looking insect that went squirmed under the drywall before I could kill it. Summer + basements = critters... :?

look like spider eggs i'd drown the buugers
Just a nice watering huh? Gonna see if that'll get them out. I have a spider phobia this is gonna be difficult. No spiders better start crawling out when I flood em, I'll scream like a little girl and run LOL.

I have a spider around my tent that hangs out inside sometimes. The advantage there is I haven't seen one spider mite in months. I guess this could be the downside. Time to get the little guy out. Man, those pics make me itch a bit. Nasty.

Yeah I think I'm going to wait for someone else to help me I mean I'm really grossed out by spiders I get the chills just thinking about them. Esp because the only spiders I've seen recently are black widows. This one was under a 5 gallon bucket I use to fill water with. I placed it in my sink, took the bucket out and this fucker was chillin under it, if I would of been bitten it woulda ruined my day for sure. I'm ordering a case of doktor doom's fogger. No more.

Is your spider friend a black widow? I think they are harmful if bitten.

Shit man, that would have been bad news. Black Widows are common around here. I actually found a huge one the other day and trapped it in a medicine container. I've gotta go see if that thing is still alive!

That's a fucking vampire spider dude, they'll bite you. I hate spiders with a passion. You ever been abducted by aliens? It's a phobia that is associated with that for one reason or another.

When I was a kid, I remember getting a tiny black widow and left it in a glass cup and forgot about it. 2 weeks or so later, the fucker was HUGE and it didn't have food. I wouldn't be surprised if it was still alive today.

Was going to say that it looked like fungus and mold but if everyone is sure they are spiders... I think that some boric acid (available everywhere) will kill spiders too and be safe for your soil (and plant if you decide to spray it down). It's basically eye wash solution you find in most first aid cabinets. Not only will it kill spiders, it will kill just about any bug with an exoskeleton (hard shell).

The spider that chilled around the tent was a wolf spider. It was big, but wolf spiders aren't very intimidating. Widows freak me out though. I'd be afraid if I was bitten and realized it was a black widow. I killed a Brown Recluse in my backyard too! About a month ago. I didn't even realize it until I saw the fiddle on its back.

hmm idk it seems to me that spiders put a webbing around the eggs like a sac. it doesnt seem that the spider would have all those yellow eggs just laying around haphazardly like that.
i dont like the way it looks in those drain holes either. idk if some soil fell out or the spider dug out some soil or you didnt pack the soil down enough when you put in the first couple handsfulls. you shouldnt have space for spiders to make a home in there. im pretty sure i dont have spiders living in my drain holes but am going to have a look when lights come on.

if it were me i would be transplanting that into another container. only knock off the dirt that looks infested, probly go into a bigger container and topped off with some good soil. i know spiders are good for killing insects but i dont like spiders where i like to hang out.

Thanks for the reply, they did dig out that area. IF not spider eggs, regardless some kind of eggs I want out. Yeah I think I'll go from the exsisting 3 gallon containers into some 5 gal buckets, I only have 3 soil plants, they're my mom's, and having them in 5 gal buckets was in they're future regardless. I'm going to have to man up, where some gloves and remove those eggs and transplant them in a new home, if I see shit crawling I might drop it. Here I go..
