They want to change the light bulbs in my apartment to CFLs. If the tent is there, I can just say it is tomato's since there is no smell and he wouldn't be able to see the plants due to it being well, a tent. They insist on doing it themselves, and would come in to inspect them even if I installed them myself.

They gave me a day they would be coming over, and It may be the apartment complex. The secretary could of fucked up the letter, and I pay my rent on time. All the places I could hide it are places they'd check for lights. I'mma call and ask them if I put them in they won't care? No idea. Too much love for my plants to throw them out lol

ask them for some extra cfl's for your tent... lol
I'd take the tent apart and stash it the day they come over, and put my plants in black trashbags in the corner (away from light fixtures) with some empty 12 packs around them. But that's just me
It might be a good idea to replace them yourself out of your own pocket too, they might walk in, see a few cfl's and walk out. You never know, it's all about reducing your chances of getting caught. IDK about you but I'd go all out to hide it, nobody's going to believe tomatoes.

I thought of this, but if the landlord sent the letter then it's possible they're doing the entire complex legit. Maybe OP should ask the landlord if they require cfl's without giving up too much info about what's going on just to see what he'd say. If they know nothing then I'd be paranoid as fuck.

i'd go with this also. there is no need for them to open the closet, just make sure you hide tent nutes bongs etc. maybe your landlord can smell the weed but doesn,t know what resident is smoking/growing it so there doing this to find out.
