Dam i love canada no fear to grow hell keep bales in your house grow 4 of the longest vegged plants get a medical license grow 500 plants all legal sorry you have to worry about growing i grew up like you.

People in the thread point out there are many non-grow things that could explain the electricity use... like TVs, gaming computers, hot tubs, etc.

Maybe that's true... but the cyclical and TIMED nature of many grows... the way the lights are turned on/off at precise times repeatedly over multiple months with timers... I wonder if that could get someone caught -- or at least draw some unwanted attention. I mean when you have 1000 watts of grow lights that are turned on/off with precision at 12 hour increments to mimick the day/night cycle, that's different from a typical TV usage pattern where you turn your 1000 watt tv on, watch it for a couple hours, then turn it off and go do something else.

Perhaps this cyclical nature of a small grow could be considered suspicious.

Then again, there are many entirely legal things people might be growing indoors with grow lights, so even if police know for sure someone is running 1000 watts of grow lights on a timer, that doesn't seem like it would be sufficient evidence for a search warrant. (Maybe some gardeners out there are getting vegetable plants for their personal garden an early indoor start with grow lights during the winter so that they have bigger plants earlier to transplant in the spring to their garden.)

That might be an unusual explanation, but I would imagine there are some gardening hobbyists/enthusiasts who might do such things...

I worked in an illegal grow, in the middle of a city, with 16 HPS bulbs and a huge heating/cooling unit inside the flower room. There were pumps, timers, air scrubbers, etc. It also used hundreds of gallons of RO water a week. It was a perpetual SOG, year round.

He did have timers set up in some rooms to turn lights on and off at random times to make the place look a little more lived in.

Pay your bills on time and nobody will ever notice.

Be in a legal state and grow outside. Inside grown tastes like crap anyway. Problem solved. Otherwise get your state laws changed.
Bad taste is not necessarily from something grown indoors. Taste mainly lies in the genetics. The growing conditions and drying methods will further determine the taste. Indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse all have the potential to taste either good or bad. It all starts with good genetics then finding the best conditions.

Sorry, rad. Go to any dispensary (they don't sell stuff grown outside) buy a gram. Light it and tell me it doesn't taste like medicine crap. Indoors, poison by entrepreneurs! And you defend and pay for it.
