its ironic you talk about secureing your IP which as a trapper i know nothing about,someone sent me a virous about 10 days ago ,now im back to smoke signals.it took me a year to uplaod pics on here,and they looked bad.but i should learn how to at least put up an anti virous because ive gone through 4 hard drives in less then 2 years.to bad you couldnt just put pollen on the computer and every things fine.but i am going to look into what you guys mentioned about IP protection.also someone mentioned elite went by the name greens,is that the same greens that sold outdoor strains for colder climates.the gorrila gold and timewarp or something like that.

They can and are reading his emails and can go back quite a ways to get info. Anything put on the web is on the web for god knows how long. I know some people who were under investigation for selling some stuff on the net(not drug related). The cops had their entire online history handed right over from the isp provider, paypal, ebay and god knows what else exactly. I wasn't even involved and they had emails that were sent back and forth between us. It was a coworker of mine who i became good friends with. What I learned from that, is nothing, and i mean nothing actually gets deleted once its put out in cyberspace.

I know there will be people who know more about computers and stuff than i do saying I'm wrong, but I saw copies and copies of printouts the DA gave to my friends lawyer of 6 months worth of net surfing. Let me tell you there was everything there!
They had most of it before they ever got a warrant.

The digital trail is scary.

I can tell you this, there is most likely a cop reading this thread right now. They got his net activity, he was here a lot. They probably got a good education of this site and others if they already didn't have it

Its not what info they have, they have it all I guarantee it, its how far back are they going to get the info.

Yea ur right about that. I bet if they are goin thru e-mails they probably are lookin for his "lieutenants", or anyone they feel was makin money with him. Most likely they are watchin the other breeders he was involved with, under the assumption they might be on the same illegal shit he was. As busy as elite was I'm sure there's TONS of paperwork of regular growers with meaningless questions about this strain or that strain. And from what I'm seeing this guy was no newbie in the grow world. So he's been doin this for a long time. LOTS of stuff to sift thru... From that press release it seems like elite was also probably shipping actual green and not just seeds. So that would throw a whole nother sumthin into the mix.

what scares me is how can any one decipher the age of the person ordering or using this site for information.every one agrees this is an adult site,all seed vendors ask that you be of age,yet this started with a child buying seeds.i cant see how any one knows the age by way of the internet.you can bust every site through careless minors from porn to pot to selling on ebay.my question is how do you validate age.now on seed pages their is a disclaimer saying if your a minor you break the law or something to that effect,but their are a few vendors on here maybe they can answer it.

a good question, but there is no good answer, not at the moment anyways
plainly, the age question is the minimum needed for some 'legal cover'
the supplier of the answer is breaking the terms of agreement if not being truthful
this could, of course, change in the future

We are all responsible for our own security. Proxy servers...right now my IP says Netherlands even though I live in Norcal. Safe addy's and cash when ordering seeds. No trails to you. End of story. Once you buy seeds, make your own crosses. Any hack can make a random untested cross and hype it so why not you. Quality will be the same and you will save lots of money. No different from Elite and a lot cheaper.

3. security for ourselves
4. pointless speculation

Agreed. This is some crazy shit. Elite may have just been a hack pollen chucker, but that is no reason for him to get busted. I'm assuming this is true, because on his site forum Big Buddy (a friend/grower of Elites) is on there saying that he is going to be laying low for a while and not start his own seed company.

Sooooo true. He thought it was "the safest way". Guess he was dead wrong. When I first ordered from him I thought that it was fucking reckless as hell too. And didn't really trust it. It just had trouble written allllll over it from the first place. Because at least if the seeds get caught by customs coming into the country, nobody is getting harmed. They just take the seeds and send you a letter saying that they have them. When its done inside the US... oh you better believe they are going to investigate that shit. The dude had big pipe dreams, he just seemed kind of unorganized.

for real. i mean he was shipping seeds from the same location he was growing! the #1 rule for ordering seeds is never order to your grow...id like to think it would be similar for the breeders, no shipping from your grow.

i have a hard time feeling pity for someone so reckless.

ya it is amazeing he set up shop were the plants were,but another seed vendor on here said something about if he had sent from a medi state in the US he would be ok.is this true because i see other US sites selling what they call cali clone onlys and stuff.im not sure of the law.so are you saying it is illegal to order from any seed vendor in the states.as much as i dont like elites practices,and a lot of people got screwd he did go for the american dream,how old did it say he was,it said the woman was 20,but back to the question is their any were legal to order in the states.

i wonder if he would of been 100% ok if he would of only offered seeds to medical patients?

ahahahhhahahah oh shit when weeds legal right here in Cali do you guys think il lbe able to hit wall mart for some seeds or clones?haha

To answer the Q's on legallity. First remember this went through the US Postal system, a crime by any seed company! Even if in Cali postal is Federal. If seeds are found from, out of the US they are confiscated whether they are going to a med patient or not. Remember the "green tape"? This is why many seed banks refuse to ship here.
