Emergency pruning?

Hey everyone im new to this forum and this is my first time growing, but ive studied as much as possible on the subject so i wont bug you for anything pointless, my plant which is 4 weeks old is only half a foot tall, im pretty sure it has a nitrogen deficiency as well, but all the new leaves it was trying to develope turned purple at the base (as well as all the new growth shoots), this slowed it down immensely and it hasent grown an inch in a week, so i decided to prune off the top affected area will this mess my plant up? i only pruned off the verry top set of leaves, it was weird kind of like a cluster of growth shoots that wanted to get out but couldent

I will post pics of before and after very shortly, it will give you a great description of my problems and im open to your suggestions as to the other problems with my plant

The purple is a def. but not a nitrogen def. I don't run into the purple until about half way through flower. It is either the P or the K.

Might have gotten cold also being so young. personally I wouldn't have topped it in a time of stress.

hmm what is the safest way to post pictures? is imageshack alright?

its indoors in a computer case, using an organic soil mix and organic nutes it has 2 23 watt cfls on it, there are 6 fans going 3 on each side, so there is plenty of intake/outake, i dont expect to get much from this but its a learning experience, and maybe if its a female il take a clone or two, but i also bought some skunk #1 feminized seeds, which i have one germinating, so im going to stick with that one cause this plant is from a bagseed.the temp stays around 78 degrees, i flushed the soil today and then transplanted, the runoff water was 5.7

You can upload straight from the thread start/reply. 5.7 is low for soil I bet it is a pH problem causing lockout. What was the water pH going in. Do you have a way to pH test the soil. I try to keep everything at 6.5

il also start posting through thread, i have a digital ph meter but its really old and it probaly needs to be recalibrated. LOL sorry for the hurt necks youll have looking at some of these photos

I was picturing somthing different I don't think I would use my posts as info to help except the topping during a stressful time isn't a good idea because too much stress can make a lady grow balls lol Sorry

yeahh thats what i was thinking too or even a hermie, oh well the skunk #1 seed is germinating nicely, how long should i let the radicle get before i plant it?

ive read all the plant problem faqs as many times as possible, but never really considered deficencys as the problem cause i was under the assumption that because it is just a weed it will grow, not the case LOL

Thing that sucks about that post is the images are all dead links, it seems as if it was useful at one time, but without pictures, the Text pointing to figures in pictures doesn't exist.
