Oh good. I think i damaged my plant. I was doing work in the grow closet when my light feel of breaking of one of my main stems of bud. should I just harvest the plant now or lets whats it still growing grow. The main cola is still intact. The first picture was what it look like about a week ago. Next pic is of the broken stem. last pictures are what it looks like now. What should i do.

This is my second plant. first harvest so I guess I am worried about the break causing stress. I plan on trimming closer but I had to go to work...

maybe i'm just stoned but...
in theory, wouldn't the plant redirect the energy that went into that branch towards energy for new growth meaning bigger buds?

just throwing this out there to see why this would or wouldn't happen :)

yes , to an extent.

soon as the girl gets done focusing on that break then yes she will start focusing on all the rest , resulting in bigger buds on the other colas. the question is , how long is she gonna focus on the break.

yea keep her green till the end ..... it happens to all of us !

soil

leave her alone she will recover just fine. leave them small buds alone too they will get bigger esp now that that big cola is off the plant.

you could have put the broken branch in some soil and let it grow roots and finish up. but now u got a lilttle smoke to test drive.

if anything make sure where the baranch came iff is a nice clean cut, it will take the plant less time to recover from a nice clean cut (razorblade) than it will a jagged broken one.

best of luck man

edit: oh and if any other branches were damaged in the accident look up taping them, or you can try and clone them but leaving them on unatended to may lead to significant stunt due to the plant trying to repair that branch to get food to it.

harvest the one that broke but leave the rest of the plant alone. you should trim the fan leaves closer to the bud tho. she'll be ok tho so dont worry.

it was always my understand that you could not clone a flowering plant.

may be a dumb question but what is a sugar leaf.

Everything I have read says keep the stress on your plant as low as possible. So when this happen I figured nothing could be more stressful outside of burning the plant.
