end of flowering

Can anyone help me out and tell me what kind of consequences there are of letting your plants grow longer. Im reading these journals, and a lot of them were harvesting at 40-50 days flowering. Mine have been flowering for 50 days and I plan to begin the flushing with water now. So harvesting at 62-64 days flowering. What are the negative effects of growing longer.

Also when I flush am I using just RO water by itself or should I be adjusting the pH as well. If so what pH (6.2?). This seems counter intuitive because I am trying to flush the plant of chemicals but I would be using one to do it.

Any responses to either question would be most excellent.

Cheers and have fun

you may get more of a couchlock high. but just because other people are harvesting earlier, does not mean that is when your plants should be harvest, every plant has it's own cycle, some are done sooner than others. if you look around at seed banks you'll notice that some have much longer flowering times, that's just they way it goes. if you know what your growing, look it up. otherwise go by the trichomes on the plant, check the FAQ if you dont know what those are. there you can also find when to harvest depending on the high you want. you also want to adjust the ph so it can disolve the nutes that are still in the soil.
