These are 5 gallon pots sitting on pot risers (so the pot is never touching stale water)
In the beginning of veg, i try to build the roots by watering just enough.
When flipped to 12/12 i smash out 6 feeds a day.
The roots go crazy during about week 2-3 into 12/12.
I wish i could tell you exactly why/how it happens but I'm no plant whisperer.
That’s exactly what a plant whisperer would say

Longest thread ever. Lots of well Know members doing this for a long time. I see what I'm doing wrong. A lot has changed since 2009. I see that Indica cultivars seem to work best for this technique. What's a good choice these days for a beginner? I want to grow one plant in a 5x5 and see how far I can push it. 5 plants are too many, I think. Too late to grab the one out of the middle. I got a freak show going on in the 5x5 anyway. Not my fault. Bad genetics I'm sure of it. 12 flowering plants in the room and seedlings on deck. Not one yellow leaf in the room. Or bugs. I don't think it's my skills. I'll consider this run my scrog training. What cultivar would you recommend and who should I get from? Who would you get it from in 2023?
I wish I read the top of this thread a few weeks ago.

First indoor grow in around 5 years. Used to grow RDWC but switched to coco for this grow so kinda re-learning some techniques but overall happy so far. I just flipped to 12/12 4 days ago and have been tucking around 4-6" of new vertical growth each day, I figure the remaining holes will be filled in 3-5 days and then I'll stop tucking.

This is in a 3x5x7 tent with 5gal pots, screen seems a little more crowded/dense than I remember my older grows being but maybe my memory is just failing me lol. You guys think I should cut out some of the thinner vertical stems or just leave everything and reassess in a couple weeks? I started cleaning out some of the lower fan leaves to improve airflow today.

Hi guys wondering if can have some opinions on this scrog it's only my second attempt first time was like 9 years ago and only used 1 plant under MH then Hps

This time I've got 5 plants in a 4x4 tent in coco and perlite 70/30 under a spider farmer 4000 at 24 inch from canopy at 80% all wedding cake clones

I've had a few problems with these plants so I've been vegging a long time I had a fruit fly infestation at the start I've sorted that now also had cold temps for a while and I also forgot to prepare my old coco from the last run and kill off any of the eggs in the coco so when it was time to pot up I had to do it then so they was potted up into moist coco so I hardly watered them trying to dry it out abit and just watered a little every 3 days in the center only so that stunted them a little but I thought in the long run it would help with root growth

Also my ph meter needs calibrating I'll be getting the buffer solution next weekend

Once I have my meter calibrated do you think I should flip to flower I've got a second screen to add too just not sure if I should wait longer for some of the stems to thicken and also make sure I'm feeding the correct ph for a week before I flip I was thinking if they get too big before flower I can trim and tie down

I've been feeding at 1.9 ec
