Environmental controller questions

I want to add an environmental controller to my sealed room. Most of the units I see say they have a 15a limit. Is that per device? or total? Because I dont understand how you can get a dehumidifier and an AC setup and not go over 15a. Or do they only power up one device at a time?

Total. I had to run my ac to a different line. Use the outlet on the controller as your trigger cable and plug the ac or heater into a different receptacle that has the proper amps. Had an electrician friend make one out of spare parts in about 5 mins. Good luck to you

Do you need one? Dehui and A/C have controls on them. Still need a CO2 controller and exhaust fan(?) for a sealed room.

na, I don't need it. I just want to start playing with day/night temps/humidity. I'll be using a standalone CO2 controller either way.

I got one and for the same reasoning. But really only use it fan/temp control and in the winter I hook up a heater to the outlet that gets powered when the room is dark. Inkbird has a lot of cheaper options for cheap controllers.

Most mini-splits I've installed don't have a differentiating day/night thermostat, which to me is a must. So i power them up(must have auto-restart ability obviously) via contactor and plug the trigger cord into a controller. Window bangers usually don't either so I'll power them up the same way.

Dehus', I just set it to 50-55 and plug into it's own circuit. No need to plug into enviro controller imo, unless you just want it on at night time. If that's the case I'll power it up via contactor and plug the trigger cable into the night output on the enviro controller.

Pretty much the only thing I'll plug into and use the power available directly through an enviro controller are intake/exhaust fans, and a co2 controller if the enviro controller doesn't have a c02 sniffer.

If you want to spend money on environmental control get a data-logger. they have come down in price and are really helpful. I use a sensorpush but there are other brands. It sends you text alerts when temp/hum are above/below your set points. Also has nice graphs showing temp/hum over time.
