^^ just like that. Just snug them down. I also bought a reel of wire at the hobby shop, it's for tying floral arrangements, it's really thin wire. I think it was like 100ft for $2 i use it for repairs/training/whatever strong enough to hold but flexible enough that it can expand/grow with the plant ( to a point) so it won't cut in as easily. I don't ever tie it just wrap it in a spiral, you want it to be able to expand, not tighten around the stem.

So I haven't posted in god knows how long and I haven't read this post at all but I saw the title and had to comment. I just moved to Colorado and I just started taking pics of my grow but on my last grow I had a plant that split just like this but about 1000 times worse. lol. The plants were in 7 gal soil pots and they had 8 mains each. I had one plant split and there was about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap where it split. That happened about week 2 of flower. Main colas ended up being bigger than a large mouth mason jar AFTER they were dry. Biggest buds I have seen in person. Just saying you can really split that shit. If you do use a que tip to add some rooting gel to the spot and try and tape it together. be careful not to split it more.

ah it happens. its just gonna be stunted for a few days thats all. also, when she doesnt want to go lower then leave her and tie her down a little more every 3/4 days.

The split itself is vertical and about an inch and a half long in the centre stem right where I topped it.

Ive wrapped twine tight enough around the middle to try and hold it for the mean time, its holding together about 80% of the part that has split, will it heal itself on its own like that or are there any other methods anyone could recommend?

Is the plant just going to shed of the cola's as dead branches or do they recover from something as tragic as this?

Also as its 2 weeks into flowering, is that going to make it a longer wait due to stress etc?

It WAS a very healthy plant, I cant get any pics at the moment, but will try later on...

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated =]

Duct tape the stalk back together if its not split in half it will mend like a broken arm just takes awhile.
