Epsom salt?

I use one tablespoon per gallon, every couple feedings; I don’t use any of the other stuff, or just about any product made specifically for weed, which probably just means a mark up from the same stuff they’re selling for tomatoes.

A little sarcastic there: I’m sure there are some great weed specific products.

ye i know google i just want to make this people think,
Magnesium sulfate or Magnesium sulphate is a chemical compound, a salt with the formula MgSO₄, consisting of magnesium cations Mg²⁺ and sulfate anions SO2−4. It is a white crystalline solid, soluble in water but not in ethanol.
so we have a bunch of magnesium and a bunch of sulfate salt, now what can we do with this? give it to our plant and it will use the mg cations with calcium ion to consume as food, good

but we have to think that mg uptake is limited by calcium aveability
so we have to add some sort of calcium source,
bless

what is epsom salt really? i understand it has a bunch of magnesium but, what is it?
Its Magnesium and Sulfer. As far as using the "sweet stuff type products" its my undertanding that those are more aimed for people who are using mycorrhizae as they are a sugar source. If you want something along that line and you are using mycorrhizae simply mix 1 tablespoon of unsulphered Black strap Molassess in a gallon of water and feed once a week.

Not always. See mulders uptake chart View attachment 5359498
True. :) I use it as a 'baseline' for my water/plants. I filter the water down to 0EC, then I add back about .28EC worth of Ca/Mg (140ppm). Enough to make sure that along with my Maxibloom the plants are seeing what they want but not enough to block other inputs. From there, I personally find that application of a bit more magnesium is needed in flower. If I start seeing a moderate deficiency that looks like Magnesium I'll start with a 1g per gallon boost, then drop that back to .5g per gallon every other feed or so.

Epsom salt is pure magnesium, it’s a perfect supplement for mg. But it is not a pk booster like bud explosion and sweet candy. So if you’re trying to use it for flower nutrients you will be disappointed and possibly lock out the plant with too much.

Epsom Salt is Magnesium sulfate or Magnesium sulphate is a chemical compound, a salt with the formula MgSO4, consisting of magnesium cations Mg2+ (20.19% by mass) and sulfate anions SO2−4. In agriculture, magnesium sulfate is used to increase magnesium or sulfur content in soil. its not pure magnesium.

Yes my mistake… primarily used for mg in cannabis growing… good copy and paste job though.
I figured accuracy as more important that typin it out lol. But yes, agree mostly used for the Mg part in Cannabis growing totally. But You need to know that sulfur is there can it can sneak up in ya and have your tent smellin like rotten eggs learned that with tomatoes lol
