Can you tutor me on your method of preparing your nutrient solution. Not what you are feeding we know that. The order you mix and the meters you use to adjust ppm and ph. Also what you use to adjust the ph.

I'm putting about 15 gallons of fertilized water a day into the room, just watering the plants that are dry or mostly dry. I watered tonight, reverse osmosis water only, from a 4 stage counter top unit by freshdrinkingwater.com. I replace all the filters every 6 months, since my well water has a really high ppm.

I start with the Cal/Mag, wanting the ppm of the solution to be about 350 or so. My starting water ppm is usually in the 30-50 ppm range. Then I add the 1-4-5 bloom fertilizer to raise it to the level i want- normally between 610-740 ppm depending on how the plants are looking.

Meter wise, for years I've been using the Combo Meter, by Blue Lab. I think they are calling it something else now, but its a continuous meter meant to stay in the water at all times. It measures ppm, pH and temps when turned on. Every drop of water that hits the plants goes in at 6.3pH, no matter whats in it or not. Even fresh water is pH'd to 6.3.

For calibration, General Hydroponics sells a liquid kit to adjust the probes pH. It readily available on Amazon, as is just about everything else I use. My daughter has a high level management position with Amazon, traveling the world. So I use her prime for quick deliveries and discounts.

I constantly stir with resevoir, which adds oxygen to the water. I also wait about 5-10 minutes for the meter to settle on to a number, as it will fluxuate for 5+ minutes. Don't water until the ppm number locks in.

That is informative. So your water is room temp to start. Do you mix immediately before feeding. I am going to go with the bluelab meters. I thank you for taking time to help us.
Your grows kick ass.

Yes, room temp or slightly warm water, depending on how long ago I added water to the resevoir. Never too hot or cold, you don't want to shock the roots. Yes, I generally just mix it all up right before feeding. I check the room pots twice a day and will water when necessary, usually at lights first on at 11AM, or after dinner, around 7pm. I probably check into the room 5-6 times a day, mainly to empty the dehumidifier when necessary and to check on the room temp.

So, we're at day 43 today. I wanted to show everyone a pic of day 40 of the Orange Gasm from 2020. Look how much more leaf material there is, and the larger bud size is apparent. I'm pretty sure, in the end, my late defoliation will have some negative impact on the yield this crop. Maybe 10-15% overall in the end.

If you are looking for yield, a late harvest is your best bet. There is a point of diminishing quality if it goes to far, but they say the last 2 weeks of flowering buds can double in weight (not size) as much of the growth is the empty seed pods expanding and hardening. I’m in no rush, as I still have plenty of the previous grow available. I’m figuring 10-11 weeks total…….

So, no more bud enhancer and only the straight 1-4-5 moving forward. I’ll stop the Cal/Mag the beginning of week 9. The dehumidifier is pulling about 3 gallons out of the room a day keeping the humidity in line. I’m at 50%, I may lower it to 45% over the weekend. I don't want bud mold…….

I bought some hepa filters and made a box over my passive intake vents to stop this mold problem i get.its the spikes i get from not having a big enough dehumidifier.it actually catches me out when the weather changes here as most time its all good..ive bought some inline filters for when the hepa filters clog up...these new ones stop 98% of all airbourne particals for a month and after 6 months that reduces 12% which by that time wont stop the mold spores getting in..thats pretty crap i think.they should atleast make them last a year..
Are you running any inline filters sshz..

Nope, as mold generally isn’t an issue. This current strain came with a breeder warning, but my dehumidifier is more than capable of handling the room and ill just continue us to lower the humidity as I get closer.

How u doing otherwise, Max? I was in your thread last night looking around……

I went back to the Ethos site tonight to review the Thug Roze strain writeup, mainly to check the finishing times as I'm seeing a few plants well on their way to being done. Today is day 46 in flowering. It claims a 60-70 day flowering period, which appears to be right on. And it states thin, scant leaves. LOL LOL Not under these lights, buddy. I'm also starting to see some nice resin production and the buds are definitely getting larger.

Yeah.im running the spiderfarmer se7000 this grow..dope looks dank but its been a crap shoot.i think this light is just too intense or wrong spectrum or something.they are just stressing out to the max or it has hotspots idk.upper leaves tacoeing .lights 26 away on one girl at about 580 watts 7 1/2 weeks in..temps were 80f but reduced it to 75f and doesnt seem to matter..going back to the lumatek zeus for nxt grow.checkout the pile of seeds i made lol in my thread.i will test these out and send a heap your way if you like what you see.they yielded well last grow.

Yes def a heat issue but im running leds and have to run a finned heater at front to get it up to temp before the humidity goes up. Atm fan cuts on when temp is reached coinciding with rh at 50-52% extracting air every 1.30..if i take heater out im in big trouble.lol..maybe the inkbirds up the shit..
Yeh the elite x elite spray has done n excellent job.one hit is all thats needed.got huge big ball bearing seeds..if i send you a heap maybe you could run just one to see how they go.they yielded on average 5-5 1/2oz ea plant ..im growing them out nxt..
