There way a 3-4 footer growing in the horse pastures of a famous brewery a couple years ago. Sat along side a busy road. Best we could all figure it probably came from somebody tossing the seeds out the window.
In my youth my friends and I walked some private property and planted several oz of seeds (likely all Mexican and way long flowered for our locale). I figured it'd become a self sustaining farm, nothing came of it.

A while back:
We had a nasty pothole in an area of our city, city wasn’t fixing it for a long time.. so someone planted a random cannabis seed in it.
When it vegged about 2 feet, they finally came an fixed it. Super fun to see how long it took to notice! Lol

LOL we did the same. Never seen anything grow. I’m wondering if a person picked the right time of year and just tossed them in areas where it should be easy to grow if they would
