Looks like Donald found a way around the gag order, he will just order GOP members in congress to do it for him from the house floor. Look for a lot of this as Donald texts them orders of exactly what to say. Looks like Steve Bannon is still advising him.

BREAKING: One of Donald Trump’s top Republican allies in Congress defies Judge Engoron, launches a vicious, unhinged attack on Engoron’s law clerk in a shameless effort to help Trump attack the clerk without violating the gag order that the judge placed on him.

In a dangerous official statement released today, Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik declared, “"The Far Left Judge's clerk is a major Democrat donor and operative who has apparently donated more than the yearly limit for a New York Judge's staff member. It is illegal and un-American for the Leftist Judge in NY to order that President Trump and his legal team can't raise issues about the Judge's biased law clerk ---- especially when it is very obvious that she is playing an integral role in the case.”

Stefanik continued, declaring, “This is a dangerous pattern by Democrats across the country to try to muzzle any defendant ---- let alone the leading Presidential candidate who is leading in all the polls against corrupt Joe Biden. Republicans must join together to fight back against the unprecedented and illegal weaponization of Government against President Trump."

Simply deplorable. Since Stefanik knows that that Donald Trump is banned from attacking the law clerk, she decided to stick her neck out for Trump to do hit dirty work because there is no gag order against her.

Just when you thought that Trump and his “law and order” Republican enablers couldn’t sink any lower, now they are openly conspiring with Trump to attack judges and their law clerks for simply doing their jobs and administering the law.

We will see what happens with Donald's disqualification soon and if he is not disqualified, I would expect some to drop out of the race, but they could hang around until his trial this spring in DC. Here is an example of what anybody who wants to go against the great leader, the one who can do no wrong, can expect. It's why so many in the house fear him and know he could destroy the careers of most of them in 24, even from prison and he will be going down in court right in the middle of their primaries, disqualified or not.

Maga Mike is gonna ride the tiger and I dunno which would be worse for him, Trump disqualified or not because Donald will use the GOP and his base like toilet paper on the way down.

The judge should put an adding machine on the bench next to him... If he can justify taking a dime from Donald he probably will, all by the book mind you and perfectly legal. He ordered Donald to disclose his secret equity partners in his properties and the receiver, a retired judge, will probably issue a report on everything at some point. Word is the judge will have a total amount owed by December and they can begin the disgorgement process, around the same time the SCOTUS hopefully disqualifies him, Merry Christmas Donald and a most unhappy new year!

The hypocrisy of the MAGA movement claiming weaponization of the political system is undeniably lost on the black-and-white conservative mind as it struggles to understand concepts as complex as irony.

The ongoing witch hunt.
Special counsel in Hunter Biden probe rejects claims he was stymied from pursuing the case
Special counsel David Weiss on Tuesday appeared in a closed-door meeting with congressional investigators probing his leadership of the Hunter Biden investigation, an unprecedented conversation that the prosecutor said left him with constraints on what he could discuss.

It was a dynamic Democrats said yielded their counterparts little new information about the ongoing investigation, even as Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said they gleaned new details about Weiss’s authority over the case.

Weiss, who agreed to the interview, made clear in his opening remarks he would be unable to comment on the substance of the investigation, instead stressing that he had ultimate authority over the case.

It’s a continuation of his stance contradicting testimony from an IRS whistleblower who claimed Weiss slow-walked the Hunter Biden case and was blocked from seeking special counsel status in order to bring charges against Biden in other jurisdictions, a status Weiss has since gained.

“To my knowledge, I am the first special counsel to testify before the submission of the Special Counsel report. I have done so out of respect for the committee’s oversight responsibilities and to respond to questions raised about the scope of my authority,” Weiss said in opening remarks to House Judiciary Committee investigators shared with reporters as the panel took a break.

“Today, I am prepared to address misunderstandings about the scope of my authority to decide where, when, and whether to bring charges in this matter. I do not intend to answer questions that could jeopardize the ongoing litigation, our investigations, or the rights of defendants or other individuals involved in these matters.”

Weiss’s appearance did not appear to alleviate concerns from Jordan, who partway through the interview told reporters the special counsel has misled them about his efforts to secure a different status — special attorney status — that similarly would allow him to file charges outside his post as U.S. Attorney for Delaware.

Jordan said Weiss asked for special attorney status as far back as April of 2022 and was denied — adding detail to prior letters from Weiss who said he discussed the status with DOJ leadership.

“That goes to the heart of the matter. He requested it, was not given that request, and never had that authority…He won’t answer a lot of questions. But that’s the key takeaway,” Jordan said.

“He maintains ‘Oh I would have always been able to get it if I had to ask for it.’ But then his answer was, I asked for it and wasn’t given it.”

But Weiss told lawmakers in July that he approached DOJ leadership about special attorney status, suggesting he was rebuffed by the department.

“I had discussions with Departmental officials regarding potential appointment under 28 U.S.C. § 515, which would have allowed me to file charges in a district outside my own without the partnership of the local U.S. Attorney. I was assured that I would be granted this authority if it proved necessary,” Weiss wrote in July.

He said the meeting came before the whistleblowers’ allegations and that he has “never been denied the authority to bring charges in any jurisdiction.”

Weiss’s appearance comes as Republicans have kicked off an impeachment inquiry into the president based in part on his son’s business dealings. GOP members have claimed the Justice Department attempted to shield Hunter Biden from prosecution for tax crimes.

Several law enforcement officials working the investigation have countered that, saying no decisions in the case were influenced by politics and saying Weiss did not relay any resistance from DOJ in pursuing the case.

And Democrats leaving the interview described it as a waste of time, saying Weiss had to avoid answering questions that could tank his ongoing prosecution.

“This is unprecedented. You know, you never interrupt a prosecution with congressional hearings like this is the first time it’s ever happened,” said Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-Md.) a former state and federal prosecutor.

“And the fact that he can answer questions is an obvious byproduct of that, because he doesn’t want to do anything or say anything that will disrupt a criminal prosecution. Now, the irony is they’re always pushing to try and prosecute Hunter Biden, but this is the same kind of stuff that could derail it.”

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) described the meeting as “a waste of everyone’s time” and encouraged reporters staking out the meeting to go get lunch.

“I don’t know what we’re doing here. We’re not gonna learn anything new because he can’t talk about the specific of the case,” he said.

Weiss’s authority, as well as concerns over how he handled the case, have become a key GOP focus in the investigation.

While Biden was slated to agree to plead guilty to two tax charges as a result of Weiss’s investigation, the plea deal fell apart as the parties appeared at odds over the extent it would shield the president’s son from future charges.

Weiss has since indicted Biden on three different gun charges while writing in court filings that he may file tax charges in D.C. or California – places where IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley and his colleague Joseph Ziegler, both assigned to work the case, said there was stronger evidence of tax crimes.

“All of this stuff is inappropriate,” Ivey said. “The committee shouldn’t be getting involved in any of these cases while prosecutions are ongoing.”

BREAKING: Trumper Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene drops Tuesday bombshell, declares that new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson should “be ousted” for crossing two “red lines.”

In today’s explosive interview, Greene said that Speaker Johnson should “be ousted” because he is “about to pass” a “continuing resolution” to keep the government funded and because that continuing resolution contains “Ukraine funding” to help Ukraine fend off Russia and Vladimir Putin’s deadly invasion.

Greene declared, “We had Matt Gaetz, and seven other Republicans that declared red lines, where any speaker that passes a CR, or funds Ukraine war funding should be ousted. So my question is, we’re about to have speaker Mike Johnson pass the CR. And he is talking about passing mega, mega Ukraine funding.”

But sour grapes Greene wasn’t done complaining about Mike Johnson…

She then whined that it’s Johnson’s fault that her motion to censure Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for attending a peaceful pro Israel-Palestinian ceasefire protest outside of the White House, which Greene shamelessly called “an insurrection,” flopped miserably and ended up leaving her humiliated. Greene complained that Speaker Johnson “didn’t whip votes for it” and “told people to vote their conscience,” which in her eyes means that he “was not supportive of it.”

Then, Greene shamelessly declared that Congresswoman Tlaib should be treated “like Trump” has been treated for inciting the deadly January 6 insurrection — even though the protest that Tlaib attended was a peaceful protest — and Trump’s violent insurrection sent over 140 Capitol Officers to the hospital and even led to multiple deaths and sent hundreds of members of Congress cowering under their seats and running for their lives.

Clearly, she’s upset because nobody in America takes her seriously — not even the members of Congress in her own party.

House GOP moves to reduce Buttigieg's salary to $1
It has no shot at becoming law, but it's not the first time Republicans have tried to use obscure spending rules this way.

The House GOP moved to reduce Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s salary to just $1, the conference's latest move as conservatives have explored using obscure funding rules to exact political pain on the Biden administration.
The cut for Buttigieg was adopted by voice vote as an amendment to the fiscal 2024 Transportation-HUD spending bill and was put forth by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.). The bill still needs to be approved by the full House but stands no chance at approval from the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Bringing it back: It's not the first time House Republicans have explored using the so-called Holman Rule, which allows Congress to reduce salaries of certain federal employees in spending bills. The House voted down attempts to trim the salaries of four officials in October, when those proposals came up as amendments to the energy and water spending package.

Key caveat: The House GOP's spending bills are packed with Republican priorities and have little hope of becoming law in their current — or amended — form. It will have to be reconciled with the Democratic controlled Senate before it takes effect and President Joe Biden isn’t going to sign a bill that strips Buttigieg of any salary.
