exhaust an help

ive got a 6 inch cool tube with a 6 inch fan on one end exhausting the heat but i need to get ridof more heat so im planning on adding another 6 inch to the other side so 1 puches and 1 pulls. my question is u know how the fans come without an electrical wire? well i was wondering if i could splice in the second fan on the same cord instead spending another 15 bucks on another cord.

no this will reduce the effectiveness of both fans. stop being a cheap ass and just get a good 430 cfm inline fan. stop wasting time with duct boosters. oh and make sure that you are venting the heat completely out of the room not just away from the light.

well sorry i dropped 600 plus in this already an not spending no more... when u have the options to either pay your rent or buy more grow equipment i think i know which im going to chose. Im tryna work with what i have so keep your smart remarks to yourself.sorry im not as priveledged as u are.

yes you can wire them together. Should work pretty well with that cool tube. Ive got a handful of 6" cool tubes and they dont take that much to cool

You can as long as the power cord is rated for the increased amp draw (it should). Doesn't make much sense though, how big is the passive intake into the grow space? Is the light cooling isolated from the grow space or are you drawing through a passive intake into your cooltube and out through ducting?

iv got fans on both ends of the tube. 1 has a duct venting air out. i wanted to duct the other side to but theres a wall there and i wouldnt be able to lower or raise the light cause the ducts would have to go straight across. so basically the fans are pulling air from room itself and ventin out into the intake on a portable ac. then the actually intake is a 4 inch withs the ac blowin cool air into it and set on a fan pointed up to distribute the cool air... i just found an old printer an cut the cord so ive got it up and running. same setup and 1 fan had the room at a temp of about 86 open and 96 closed with lights on. now with both fans im steady at 82 84 open and closed. if i were to duct both sides of the light wouldnt i have to add another exhaust for the room itself since the ducting would be primarily for the light?

you can pick up a 440 cfm inline for 90 shipped online, or get a used one for probably about half of that(at least around me). Do it right the first time or youll just end up having a weak point that needs fixing, costing you more. I know it sucks, I'm just finishing going about 30% over budget myself, but if you want to not spend the money, get a smaller light so you dont have to worry about as much heat.
