so i am setting up a carbon filter and exhaust fan in my grow room. i am concerned about noise issues as the exhaust is loud its a 10'' 18m3 per min not sure what cfm that is, so i want to put the exhaust fan in the roof and run ducting into the grow room connected to the carbon filter. is this okay? or should the exhaust fan be connected directly to the carbon filter then run the ducting out of the grow room for best performance? also the carbon filter is big 107cm by 26cm. thanks for any replies

You're going to get a better draw through the carbon filter if the fan and carbon filter are as close together as possible.

okay thanks for the replies ill set it up and see how it goes, i do have insulated ducting so hopefully that tones things down a bit.

It's a filter then fan then silencer the duct
After about a meter a y section in in with 2 600s and 1 400 hps linked in then all pass through the wall
The intake for the cool tubes is from a cooler room I'll post a pic see if it helps to explain
Sorry can't riu not real good with the iPad
