exhaust fan making squeaking sound

when a exhaust fan is making squeaking sound does that mean its about to die soon

if i was to try oil it would it stop squeaking and last longer or are they not made to be oiled

Bearings are going out. They are sealed bearings so you can't really oil them. If you did then dust will just accumulate there. Probably time to start saving for a new fan.
oh ok i dont want to go braking any seals odds are id destroy it in the process

They make them disposable nowadays. Run it until it quits or the noise is too annoying and replace it with a new one. I have Vortex blowers that are 6+ years old and have run the whole time without any issues. I had a cheap hydrofarm branded fan that didn't last 2 years before its bearings died and it locked up. The quality of the bearings is really good on the Vortex brand.

X2 on the Vortex. Have had a few inlines go 10+ years before the bearings went. Plus they do move air really well.

Vortex fans are amazing
I have a 2200 cfm with a speed controller going on ten years and whisper quiet
You get what you pay for
