from what i know you will need more power then 180 cfm i would say a room that is 10 feet by 10 feet should atleast have 600 + cfm

yeah i agree with MistaKris, outlet needs to be double the inlet cfm, with a good carbon filter which does slow down the cfm a bit, so work that into your maths. hope that helps

that's enough air movement if all you are doing is exchanging oxygen rich air with fresh outdoor air. if you need to bring in air to cool the room, you need alot more air.

on the question of lights you're kinda asking how fast you should drive without telling us what road you're on.

before you grow you need to know:

how much weed are you trying to grow (eg 1 pound/4 months)
how many plants does that take (eg 4 ounces per plant)
how much space does one plant take (eg 3 square feet per plant)
how much light to cover 12 square feet (eg 7000 lumens per square foot)
look up how big a light to produce 84,000 lumens - 600 watt hps

see that it takes only a small portion of your room to grow one pound (12 square feet out of 100 square feet) with the assumptions i made. use your own assumptions on total yield, yield per plant and size of plant to plan your grow room.

most people with that much room would divide it into veg and flowering areas so you can produce perpetual harvests.

Most books will tell you need to at least exchange once every 5 minutes, some say once every 3 minutes.

800 / 5 times a minute = 160 CFM

800 / 3 times a minute = 267 CFM

800 / .75 (every 45 seconds) = 600 CFM

So you make the call taking into consideration that you will also be pulling thru a Carbon filter.
