Exhaust question

I saw something early today saying you don't need a intake fan, only an out with a scrubber. I thought you would need intake for fresh air and circulation. All of this is in regard to eliminating smell by the way.

you dont need an intake fan*...its called a passive intake. i have one in my cab at the bottom and a couple pc fans at the top. if yuor temps get too hot its allways good to have a fan on intake.
and of course the scrubber is for smell.

Thanks , I do have intake at the bottom and outs at the top. If temp isn't a issue should I ditch it so I can close off the bottom. Everything is closed off except where my fans are and the smell is noticeable from them. My plan is to get everything sealed off air tight and put a carbon filter over my out.

You will still need a passive intake even if u remove the intake fans. You cant seal it or the exaughst fan wont be able to move any air out of your cabinet. You cant pull out air if theres not a new supply of air to take its place.

Lol electrical is pretty simple if you get shocked your doing it wrong. I'm a little scared of the toxicity of ozones just thinking about making a carbon filter. Wife is getting nervous on me.

ozone isnt really toxic unless your using some industrial ozone generator in a small closet. O3 reacts immediately upon touching other airborne molecules. Youd be lucky if you produced even enough ozone to clean the room. If you can smell anythin in the room, then the ozone levels are close to nil, they will only build up after everything has been completely removed from the air and theres nothing new to react with.

I used to work in an industrial park and a guy in the building next to me made industrial ozone machines, like big time ozone machines. I remember you could walk in and after a few minutes everything smelled funny and your teeth would ich, and even at those levels you would have to be exposed for many many many hours to be harmed.
