Exhaust vent into my attic?

What would be the bad points? I have 6x5 room 8' tall, 440 CFM Fan without filter. Attic has fiberglass insulation over celling, would be venting over kitchen in one story house.

It will heat up your house is all. I vented 2400w into the attic, house got damn hot in the summer, especially in the room near the exhaust. Free heat in the winter though!

You should have an attic exhaust to the outside if you plan on doing that. Your grow room humidity typically is much higher than the rest of a home. By venting that hot air up there humidity will be pushed as well. With insulation and differing temps condensation builds up and then you have mold. If you don't have good vents up there, put them in. Mold will destroy your homes value and your health quicker than you know...

Just take some venting ducting from the hole you were going to make and lead it to one of the many vents you find in attics and problem solved...

I vent into my attic, it naturally goes out the top vent above my building.
The only problem was I had my setup going carbon filter first, then through my light then fan then up in the attic. Air leaked in the hood and it smelled all around like crazy.... 98% sealed doesnt cut it. I say yes go for it, make sure there is an opening thing on the roof so air can naturally rise and escape and that it goes carbon filter fan out- no middle buisiness.

I have vented to my attic and had no issues. It was in the winter, though, so too humid wasn't a concern. Unless you live in a high humidity area, mold shouldn't be an issue. At worst, you might have a bit of insulation that has to go, but not likely. Most homes' bathroom fans vent into the attic. Actually, that can be your only problem, because when I did it, my wife said she could smell it her bathroom, so the air found its way over there even though my attic has very good ventilation to the outside.

If you are in a cold region I would not vent into the attic. It will melt the snow unevenly which will definately alert the authorities that something is not right.

what about the $130+ added to the electric bill to run those lights, nothing is free my friend.

This completely depends on the size of the grow.

My setup is a single 600w with 400CFM fan and blockbuster air cooled hood, with a 200CFM fan and filter combo.
My light has approx 3m of ducting, then an almost 1m long reflector followed by 2m of ducting connected to the fan and then another 1-2m of ducting directing the airflow and lighting rig blows cool air out the exhaust.

Never had an issue with uneven snow melts.

However venting +2kw up there would probably heat up significantly.

I added extra ventilation to my attic just to make sure air was removed.

I get a lot of snow on my roof, and there can be some uneven snow melt, but for sure it depends on the set-up, as stated. What uneveness there was on mine was pretty minimal and nothing really to worry about.
