depending on wattage and overall size of room. imho NO. not with out an intake fan or an a/c... I run 2k with huge 8" hoods vented with an 8" canfan max roughly 675-695cfm and also just venting the room with no ducting from lights to fan and it didn't make much of a difference. intake was passive but negative pressure led me to assume I was ok.... temps rose to 85 within 20 mins of lights on. I didn't try my portable a/c in that room just cleared a bigger 15x12 room nd will proceed to make it the room. and vent threw the vent in the floor. gl... SOUR

yeah but you really only need an inline duct fan i run 2 600watts and my 6" inline duct fan works well enough to keep them cool and it exhausts outside, plus if you keep your carbon filter just re-circulating the air in the room and not exhausting it will give you the option of using c.0.2 down the road without wasting too much of it. I also went with an a/c that exhausts the hot air out of the room, a temp sensitive atmospheric controller is a must for both a/c and c.o.2. good luck working out the kinks took me a few weeks too. lol A/C i got is the "YETI" model from H.T.G. wich i think stands for high tec growing supply
