Exhausting and carbon filter help!

I have a 4x4x6.5 tent grow and need inputs on making a carbon filter and using my exhuast fans.

My tent only gives me 104 Cubic Feet.
I have two inline exhaust fans one 6" that does 293/218 CFM on high and low setting another one is 4" and does 135/100 CFM.

1. Are these overkill for 1 tent both for exhausting?? (I have a bathroom exhaust fan also thinking to use for intake fan at bottom of tent.)

2. I have a 600HPS lumatek ballast with xtrasun aircooled reflectors. Can i use the exhaust fan connected to the reflector and connect the end of it to a carbon filter?

3. If you had these 2 exhaust fans and aircooled reflector and need to put a carbon filter on. How would you set it up?

4. Can i T the two exhuast into 1 carbon filter scrubber by using this formula?
CFM D H I
150 4 9 113
200 4 12 151
275 6 12 226
375 6 16 302
400 6 24 603
550 8 24 603
650 10 24 754

5. How MUCH carbon do i put inside the DIY filter? I plan on getting 10lbs of activated coal carbon.

Anyhelp + rep!!!
Thanks!kiss-ass

if you have a cooltube use one fan for the cooltube ( fresh air > exhaust.. No cab air just fresh air from an intake blowing / sucking through a sealed cooltube not allowing the dank grow room air in enabling no need for a filter on that exhaust ) and the other to vent your cab connected to the filter.. Other wise you can use the 4 inch fan for intake.. Or yea you can use the connector but I dont know how well that would work.

Thanks! So instead of having two places in the reflector exhausting. Have the smaller fan blow air IN ducted to the reflector to cool the lights while giving fresh air. And have the bigger fan exhausting from the reflector as well connected to a carbon filter. Wow simple as that. I didnt get to think about blowing the fan at the light which will do both cooling and fresh air. !! + REPED thanks.

Are those honeywell activated already made carbon filters better than getting RAW carbon matters and making a filter out of stockings?

THANKS THANKS!!

I would make the intake into the cooltube directly from outside of the cab and vent directly out of the cab.. That way the air isnt smelly because none of the air from your grow cab will get in that line.. So no need to hook up that one to a filter.. Use the other fan as an exhaust for your hot/smelly cab air and hook that exhaust to the filter.. You will need an intake for the cooltube and a sep intake for your cab this way.. But its a much better set up than running 2 fans the way you mentioned.

I looked and looked on the net to find a pic that explains the way to set up the cooltube but this is all I could find.. Keep in mind you should keep the ducting as straight as possible to avoid airflow reduction..

Now imagine that the duct on the left is coming in directly from outside of the cab and the duct on the right is venting directly out of the cab.. None of the "tainted" air gets in that line so you dont need that line on a filter.. Hope that helpe a little more..
