Exhausting light and heat? 2 setups?

Hey everyone. So questions. I have a 4x4 tent with 4 plants. 600w HID/HPS light and air cooled hood setup. I was a little too quick and bought a 4” fan, filter setup. The hood is 6”. So tonight I decided to setup the filter and fan by itself and not through the light hood. It is keeping temps around 25-29C in there right now but I would like to exhaust the heat from the light hood. Can I run a second small booster fan or similar that is 6” and pull air from outside of tent on one side and exhaust out of tent on other side through the hood? Like a straight line? I figure I can as there are ports on the tent. I guess I am worried about 2 things. 1. Loosing light though the hose which would be open on each end and 2. By not adding the exhaust for the light, it getting too hot and damaging the bulb?
Hope I am making some kinda sense?
Thanks, Dezi

whats the white shit on your plants

get the right stuff. Why do you want to run two blower fans when you dont have to? buy the correct fan and filter and hook it up. Keep the 4 '' as a small scrubber when needed.

or take the glass out and leave it as is isnt going to hurt the light any. Taking the glass out gives you more light on the plants

and on a side note that I see is that the bend from the hood to the exhaust hole is really sharp ...like it wouldnt even work because the hood hole is so close to the tent wall.

Or you could just get a 6'' to 4' reducer and use what you got and have that run through the hood but then again its really close to the tent wall and probably wouldnt work unless you cut another hole in the tent.

Take the glass out. add another circulating fan inside if it gets too warm or get one a little bit bigger .

Your hood should have vent ports on both sides. Thats where you connect your second exhaust to pull air from one side to pass over the light and exhaust out the other side, as you said, that’s what the side ports on the tent are for. This would drastically change the heat built up from the light. It looks like you just have the exhaust connected to your filter for the upper port which is good too, but you could eliminate the use of the upper port and connect your filter to one side of the hood, thus allowing you too cool the hood and exhaust air out of the tent at the same time.

So basically the way you have it set up now, instead of running your hose to the top vent, just run the hose connected to you filter to the hood on one side, take more hose and connect it to the other side and exhaust out the other side port. Problem solved.

Also, looks like you might have a slight case of PM ( Powdery Mildew ) going on. Do you have oscillating fans in the tent? How’s your humidity? I hope you have a hygrometer.

The light is about 3 feet the tent 4 feet not enough room to make the bend with the factory exhaust holes

those tents suck for growing in with those types of lights too little room too much heat.
Get an led
Get rid of the tent.
Two other options right there.

Hey. 2 fans running in there yes. I will see if I can adapt the 4” to 6” for the hood.
Best way to get rid of PM?

first off is it pm, iis it fuzzy looking, or is it just some crusty stuff from watering it, and some silica and water with a little soap is one way to battle pm I ask since your humidity is low .

Should my humidity be higher? If so what is the best way to get it there?
