Aww man; The RUI community is much better than a lot of BS forums; I'd say 90% of threads don't have a negative thing said about anyone. We're all postmokers too, so we all get along and never cause trouble.
Cool; I think that's a great method of air ventilation. The only concern being the AC unit getting overworked suckin air in; unless it had some assistance.
What is your portable AC BTU rating and CFM output? and what is your inline fan's CFM output?
Reason I ask is that I don't think it would hurt your ac unit very much at all to have a higher cfm being forced into it; it might put it into overdrive like a turbo on a car; hehe,
The only condition that I would think it could work is if the inline fan is synchronized to turn on at the same time the AC Unit began working. I've looked into how to automate that, and it should be done simple with a product called "Duct Stat". Made by a company called Suncourt.
So what's your AC Unit's/Inline fan's in/out CFM? I'll be back on tonight, i'm off to Harry Potter!!!
